Karo Parisyan will fight Rick Hawn on April 4th. Karo's been kind of an underachiever the past few years, but he's a fun guy to watch. Cool pickup for Bellator.

Re: The Official Bellator Thread
I wouldn't say Will Brooks was a favorite, he was everybody's favorite underdog. He was well liked yeah, but he was also fighting against a guy who had 8 more professional fights then him in Saad Awad. I knew sooner or later a more experienced fighter would catch him.Comment

Bellator fighter Daniel Straus was arrested on four traffic and drug charges on Friday in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
According to arrest records, Straus was charged with driving on a suspended license, possession of cannabis of more than 20 grams, possession of MDMA/ecstasy, and use or possession of drug paraphernalia. An official was unable to provide additional information and said a spokesperson would be available on Monday during regular office hours.
Straus currently is being held in the North Broward Bureau detention facility in Pompano Beach, according to the sheriff's website. His bond for the four charges is set at $2,200.Comment

Re: The Official Bellator Thread
More bad news for Bellator. Straus is my favorite fighter in their organization, tough news. Anyone know anything about how hard they go after Ecstacy users? The weed wasn't even an ounce, so I wouldn't imagine his charges for that would be too bad. Who knows though.Comment

Good tournament win for Emanuel Newton, he's growing on me. Atilla Vegh has been on a roll, but his last fight with Newton was close. Should be a good rematch.Comment

Bellator returns tomorrow night.
King Mo vs. Seth Petruzelli. Babalu and War Machine also have fights. Just a heads up.Comment

The whole card is a bunch of mismatches honestly. I will still probably watch though hoping that King Mo loses again. One of the most overrated fighters in MMA today.Cincinnati Reds University of Kentucky Cincinnati Bengals

Yeah, I agree. And How fitting would it be if he lost to Petruzelli. A guy who knocked out Kimbo Slice in about 12 seconds who was one of the most over hyped and overrated fighters of all time.My Teams

Re: The Official Bellator Thread
I don't think Kimbo was every really highly rated, but overhyped? Definitely. Dana had him come in separately on TUF 10 and then he preceded to lose in the first round LOL!
People treat King Mo like he is a top light heavyweight, despite never really accomplishing anything. He "beat" Mousasi via lay and pray, but that was a contentious decision. Look at his face after the fight:
Even more so after he got KO'd by Newton he is basically calling it a fluke, etc. and giving NO credit to Newton who just knocked his *** out.Cincinnati Reds University of Kentucky Cincinnati Bengals

King Mo and Rampage each have fights tomorrow night. Rampage missed weight, but I'm not sure if he was able to get it off in the two hours or not. I guess I'll check it out.Comment

Re: The Official Bellator Thread
I would like to say King Mo is a boring fighter and simply won because the Russian guy he was fighting didn't even try to fight. If the Russian guy went all out or even tried for that matter, he would have KO'ed King Mo.
The Rampage fight featured an African version of Machida who did nothing but circle away the entire time. Thankfully he slipped from all that running and Rampage KO'ed him on the ground. Afterwards Bellator summoned their inner WWE and had King Mo & Rampage pretend to hate each other and go after each other in the cage to hype up their PPV fight.
Waste of time really, they should have just skipped the tournament and just had Rampage fight King Mo for the title. Because neither of their opponents even tried to fight.Comment
