Bellator 166 on tonight. Main card on now, not bad so far.


.. Bellator 171 on now, Guillard v Njokuani is the main event. Interesting fight, would expect a finish either way, both coming off finishes.

Guillard with a elbow KO over Rickels which was overturned tho, Njokuani with a jab KO 20 secs in. Should be fun.

Michael Page and Paul Daley are set to fight at the London show in May. PLEASE let this fight happen -- no injuries!

I got so hype when Daley got on the mic and called out Rory after his last fight, but I want to see how MVP handles this. I think Daley takes him out, but we shall see.

Ive read that Daley doesn't have a twitter, and that post from him confirming the fight is actually a fan page.

Daley has since came out, and said the fight isn't happening.

Guess you heard right. Just got the alert on my phone that the Rory and Daley match will go down. Not mad at that one at all.

Rory is gonna cut through Daley like a hot knife through butter.

Daley - MVP would have been a super fun fight no doubt, but Rory is my favorite fighter, so i'm pretty excited to see him back.

Hoping that beak is finally healed up for good this time though.

Good to see Liam McGeary get back on the win column, should be back on a streak.

Sadly this is the only major mma for this weekend so that's it for the fix. At least next week there's a high quality card that can only be better than 208 and should get the UFC back on a roll this year.

Next high quality Bellator event would be imo the Macdonald v Daley card. MVPs stock dropped imo after that last fight with Fernando Gonzalez. MVP said Gonzales fought 'negative' and that threw him off. I would imagine someone like Woodley would throw him off worse if he doesn't adjust.

My girl Marloes fights this week. I see they have her going against another big chick in Julia Budd. Might be a tough one. A lot of interesting fights I'm hype for this weekend between that, Thurman/Garcia and the UFC card.

I love Marloes but its kind of ****ed up that she is fighting for a title and the girl who just beat her is fighting on the undercard of the same card.

At least the Bellator card is intact. Might not be the best bellator card but some solid fights so far.

Coenen v Budd main event gotta root for BC girl but Coenen is the favorite imo.

hah good thing prediction in reverse came through tho, maybe was able to jinx it.
I mean Budd beat GDR so at least she has that angle to market. Tho both GDR and Budd lost to Nunes.

Chael Sonnen vs. Wanderlei Silva to headline Bellator pay-per-view event at Madison Square Garden

Bellator has an historic card planned for later this year.

A grudge match between Chael Sonnen and Wanderlei Silva will headline Bellator 180, a pay-per-view event set for Madison Square Garden, promotion officials confirmed with MMA Fighting on Monday. The Associated Press broke the news. The card will take place June 24 in New York City.

Sonnen and Silva have had a rivalry that dates back years. The two famously brawled during the filming of The Ultimate Fighter Brazil in 2014. They were supposed to fight in July of that year, but the bout was cancelled after Silva evaded a Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC) drug test and Sonnen failed two drug tests. Both were ultimately suspended by the NAC and this will be Silva’s first fight back from the three-year ban.

Sonnen (29-15-1) stunningly signed with Bellator last year and fell to Tito Ortiz in his debut back in January. “The American Gangster” is a former two-time top UFC middleweight No. 1 contender and light heavyweight title challenger. Sonnen, 39, is one of the top-drawing fighters in MMA history, owed mostly to one of the best trash-talking games the sport has ever seen.

Silva (35-12-1, 1 NC) was supposed to return over the winter in the Rizin grand prix against Mirko Cro Cop, but was sidelined due to injury. The Brazilian star has not fought since March 2013. Silva, 40, has had a Hall of Fame-level career, beating the likes of Dan Henderson, Quinton Jackson, Guy Mezger and Kazushi Sakuraba.

No other fights for Bellator 180 have been announced yet. It’ll be only the second Bellator pay-per-view event. The first, under previous promoter Bjorn Rebney, was in May 2014 and headlined by a fight between Quinton Jackson and Muhammed Lawal.
