I wonder what this means for the Fight Night series, if it's impacted at all.
I wouldn't mind seeing THQ try their hand at a boxing game either.Comment

Just shocked right now, but completely fine with the decision.
I enjoyed EA MMA, and EA always has the money/support. Now with a huge license they'll put way more money into MMA (compared to when it first came out).
I'm optimistic that EA can build on MMA and come up with a great game.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Yeah, I thought I recognized the voices but I just didn't believe it. I mean, they had a deal with THQ and Dana hasn't exactly been sweet-talking EA the last couple of years. But then Bones popped up on the screen and I stood up in shock.
And I kinda hope you are right aholbert, that the first title we will see will be for the next generation of consoles.Last edited by Entiae; 06-04-2012, 05:19 PM.Comment

For the love of god this. I remember the first night I had EA MMA, Phobia got it early too. We were up half the night in a fight card just Observing and commenting on eachothers fights, throwing friendly trash talk, the OMFG moment of the 1 punch KO 6 seconds into the fight countering an overhand with a superman. Spectating the fight card was 1 of the biggest features in a game ever as far as my enjoyment level from it.Comment

Finally Dana made a good choice..I understand why he was mad in the first place, with EA not totally taking MMA as a true sport, now that he seen the potential that EA MMA brought, and with the money/ resources that EA brings this game should be groundbreaking. I gaurantee that this game will be a hit, it can't be any worse than what THQ did. Now will actually get to experience the total control engine that EA will bring, and not some generic stiff movement that THQ provided. THQ should have sticked with wrestling for the kids that's what there good at, they where way over there heads when they took on the UFC... Cant wait for this game, now all we need is a date.xXxDrUnKeN_MaStAxXxComment

Really not big news. EA already made a MMA game and it was not as good as what THQ made thus expect more of the sameComment
