As shallow as it was at the time, Anderson's biggest win at the time was over Chris Leben or Jorge Rivera or Jeremy Horn. None of those guys were even considered top ten. Also that "super fight" talk is dead. Silva wont fight Jones (and Dana wont make him), GSP has a fight in mid November (so a superfight against him wont be until early 2013 and no matter how much Diaz talks about suing NSAC, he wont be back until early 2013.

So we are forced to watch Silva sit on the MW belt, refuse to fight Jones even though the time is perfect, and force the MW contenders to knock each other off while we wait for Silva to select his next opponent.

One of my friend's and I argue about this. He want to see the Silva super fights of him against a top guy.

I'm fine w/ seeing him fight the rest of the MW's. He has nothing to prove IMO, and I like watching him actually destroy people.

You're just talking **** about Anderson because he smashed your boy Chael, crybaby.

Jones doesn't want the fight, deal with it.

And since you brought up big draws, Nick Diaz would pull in more PPV buys than Weidman, I guarantee it.

Nick would have to prove he can make it to an event and actually show up before I pay for one with him being billed in it. Noone in their right mind should pay for a Nick Diaz event. He is unreliable, between no showing press conferences , that get him tossed out of main events, to no showing the events themselves. I wouldnt pay for an event he was headining, because there would likely be a new event for the main event.

He will need to change his ip. We will quickly ban any other name he uses under that old ip.

A lot of them are, but you can use a proxy/vpn as well.

LMAO. The mods were ready to drop the ban hammer on Father Time the next time he slipped up. They gave him just enough rope to hang himself and he was happy to do it. Hilarious, he lasted longer than I thought he would.

I'd like to see Nick fight Anderson because I know it would be entertaining for however long he survived, but the dude definitely doesn't deserve the shot at this point. I give him props for wanting to get those tough, big money fights, but he has to earn the right to face Silva. Hell, he might not even show up to promote the thing again.

As far as Anderson's legacy goes, I'm happy to see him fight whoever they put in front of him. Super fight or not, I'm just enjoying the ride.

To be honest, we havent seen that many people go through the effort. Also if he proxies I really dont care much as long as he doesnt troll under his new name

Anderson would win but I don't know how. I can't picture either one of the Diaz brothers ever getting knocked out again and Nick Diaz won't get submitted by Anderson. The fight would be perfect for Anderson though, he thrives against fighters who push the action against him.

I don't like how the UFC allows these champs to sit on the belts. Fight once or twice a year ONLY.

Junior - once every 6 months
GSP - Once every 6 months to year
Anderson - Once every 6 months to year
Bones - 3 times in 2011 and once already in 2012 (I think he is one of the few to deserve a break)
Aldo - Once every 6 months

I understand they "earned" the title and should fight less, but when the division is damn near cleared out things should be done to match two title holders. I don't think there is a "perfect" solution to the problem but I think it is something that does need looking into.
