I think MMAJunkie has it wrong right now. The UFC is scheduling 156 in Brazil on Jan. 19, an FX card on the 26th (probably Cerrone/Pettis) and 157 in Vegas on Feb.2

Dana got his big money fight at 205 and it's a business, he can do what he pleases with match making.

All I can say is when has Chael ever been considered in the p4p rankings, Frankie has. It's not the same situation, especially with Frankie going down in weight to a class with less contenders and limited big names. Frankie leap frogging KZ and Koch is a bit different than leap frogging Hendo/Gus/Shogun. His last "loss" was unconvincing although nobody can claim Frankie for sure won. Let's not forget that.
