Scored the fight 29-28 Hioki, but there is no way Guida won round 1 imo. 2 & 3 I can understand.

I wouldnt say top 5. Fitch, Kos, GSP, Condit and Diaz would all handle him imo. He arguably lost the only fight he fought against a guy with any ground game (Hieron). Bellator has fed him nothing but strikers like Lima and Ammosou.

I don't think either of Hioki or Clay are future contenders. They don't have the tools to be champ

The worst thing that ever happened to Guida's fight style was Greg Jackson's recent advice. After the Bendo fight, he said "Who cares if all your fights are exciting...you keep losing them" After that we got the Maynard fight,

Yeah Hioki needs to drop down if he can, he may have a chance because of size then.

Glad I made a latte before watching that fight. I thought Clay would win, be he laid on him, did he even connect with 15 ground strikes?

I think Hioki would die if he had to cut 10 more pounds. He's 5-11 and 145.

                  Per Mike Chiapetta's twitter:

"Much iike a GSP takedown, we all knew that bad decision was coming but there was nothing we could do to stop it. Judges. #UFC"

Fitch isn't as good as people think he is. BJ took him down easily in their fight. Kos is a better striker but Askren is a much better wrestler. GSP is the only guy I see beating him more than he would lose.
Condit & Diaz would both get out wrestled to a decision.

                      From Ariel:

Wiman refuses to go on Twitter, dropped the "Handsome" nickname, no sponsors. And has his wife Courtney in his corner for the 2nd straight time. Time keeper. Just her and Josh Clopton. I love it.

His standup defense is horrible and he's faced guys like Good, Ammassou and Lima who have zero takedown defense. Even in last Thursday's fight, he was getting tagged by Karl when Karl only had one eye.

I know Askren has great wrestling credentials but how many one dimensional fighters have had long term success in the UFC. Even guys like Fitch have BJJ. Askren just has wrestling.

Askren is a BJJ brown belt. He has better BJJ than Fitch.

That doesnt mean a thing. Fitch is actually a BJJ black belt and has actually attempted it in a fight. Ive never seen Askren go for a BJJ finish in his career. Its another case of someone stacking their record outside of the UFC and people giving him more credit than he deserves.

They fighting in the heart of Chicago during college basketball and NBA season. People in Chicago would rather watch the Bulls play on tv and watch college basketball then MMA. MMA isn't big in Chicago yet far as fans wanting to watch.
