Rampage strikes me as the kind of guy who feels like everyone owes him something. If he's not complaining about money, he's whining about fans that turned their backs on him and how he feels disrespected. I use to be a huge fan of Quinton during his Pride run and when he first came to the UFC, but his act has worn thin for me over the years. It seems like that sentiment is shared by a lot of people in the MMA community nowadays. He still has his fair share of supporters to be sure, but his popularity doesn't seem anywhere near what it once was.
I hate speculating about things, and I can't blame a man for wanting to eat and get as much money as possible, but I think Rampage's constant complaining about money could be a sign of hard financial times to come. He seems to live somewhat of a lavish lifestyle from what I recall of his home and cars, and those things can't be cheap to keep up. I don't wish ill on the man though, so hopefully that doesn't happen to him.
It'll be interesting to see what type of value promoters feel Rampage has once he tries his hand at boxing and in other MMA promotions. I get the feeling that he's gonna find that the grass isn't always greener on the other side. We shall see though.
