Here is the current card and I'm really excited about it. This will be my first live card in almost 2 years and its starting to look stacked. Cant wait to see Rumble back in the ring. The main reason I think Phil is on the card is to serve as a backup if Glover gets hurt during training.

I absolutely hate that fight between Davis and Rumble. I like both guys a lot and don't want either to lose. Rumble should be fighting someone lower on the totem pole as well.

I almost feel as if it's a "well this is what you get for missing weight all those times" match with Phil Davis

If Rumble makes weight and puts on a good show he'll secure a spot in the UFC. I think that's all Dana and company want to see. With a win though, that would definitely make things pretty interesting.

I'm not exactly sure how far up the ladder it would put Davis with a win. I don't expect Rumble to win at all. I don't think it would prove much with a win for Davis. They're most likely just protecting Davis so they can save him in case Cormier doesn't pan out as the #1 contender.

I'm a happy man. I just bought 8 tix for me and my friends on Thursday. Miller, Davis, Rumble, joe b., rockhold all on the same card? I'm loving it.

Looks like there is a good chance this will be a sell out. All of the upper and mid level tix are sold out already. The lower level expensive seats are the only ones left.

They're even throwing Gomi on this card against Issac Vallie-Flagg. This thing has really shaped up nicely. Gomi got screwed against Diego, glad to see the Fireball Kid back in action.

Dont jinx it, DJ. LOL. The last thing I want is for the injury bug to hit this card. I've been to 8 cards in my life and had to drive/fly at least an hour to go to each fight. I'm glad I can finally go see one and have it only be 15-20 min away from my house.

How is it in person? I don't care about the scene, just watching the fights. I've never been to a MMA fight, been to regional boxing stuff. Boxing was ok as you don't have to look through a cage. For MMA, I just don't think it would be worth it to me, I think I would miss too much stuff.

You actually dont miss much at all. I've sat on the floor (Zombie v. Porier), 1st or 2nd levels (most of the events) and Upper Deck (Rampage v. Evans). Because its an octagon, there isnt really a bad angle if you sit anywhere other than the floor. The floor is actually the worst place to see because you have the cage and the posts blocking your view.

From the mid and upper decks, the cage doesnt block your view when they are on their feet and you can use the 6 jumbotrons the UFC installs at each arena to follow the fight on the ground. If you miss hearing the commentary, for 15 bucks you can buy a headset that you can use to listen to Mike and Joe call the fight. I bought it a few fights back and its kind of cool to listen to the commentary while watching the fight live.

Dont downplay the experience/scene though. I've been to a Super Bowl, NBA Finals, MLB Playoffs and an NBA All Star game and none of them touched the excitement of going to the Rampage/Evans or GSP/Shields fights.

Couldn't agree more aholbert, I've only been able to see one UFC card live the one and only time they came to Portland and while there werent a ton of amazing fights on it I still had an absolute blast. Unfortunately I doubt they are coming back to Portland anytime soon if ever again lol, the attendance was apparently brutal and they've since gone to Seattle twice with not a word about going back to Portland. That was the card when Ed Herman destroyed his knee and Couture lost the main event to Nog, but damn if it wasnt an awesome experience that I would do again in a heartbeat if I could.

That Rampage/Evans fight was the biggest letdown ever. Had all the TUF hype behind and it was garbage.
