Just curious, and it's totally irrelevant now that they are fighting, but who would you rank higher at this moment: Frankie or Cub? And why.

Ranking wise, my vote is Swanson. Frankie is my favorite fighter but he has fought twice in, what, like 14 months right? Both against guys outside the top 10 (correct me if I'm wrong). Cub seems to have more of a "what have you done for me lately" factor going for him.

Love this fight. This might be Frankie's last chance at a title.

Just curious, and it's totally irrelevant now that they are fighting, but who would you rank higher at this moment: Frankie or Cub? And why.

Frankie. Was in an ultra close fight against Aldo (iirc a bunch scored it for him), beat Oliveira rather easily and just brutalized BJ recently. Swanson is on a great run at featherweight but honestly Edgar's fight against Aldo > all of his wins imo. The two best guys he fought (Poirer & Stephens) were rather close fights.

My ranking definitely has to do with who I think it the better fighter though because Frankie has been a top 5 guy for 5 years, in two different weight classes now. Still crazy to me how he got his title shot against BJ after submitting a nobody in a "dark" prelim fight on a TUF finale card.

Yeah that's why I have no problem with someone ranking Swanson ahead of him. His win streak is pretty great. I just think Frankie poses more problems to Aldo than Swanson does and is the better overall fighter.

I personally would have Cub ranked higher by a slight margin however I have Edgar winning this matchup by UD

I see Edgar winning by UD. Swanson is overrated IMO.

Nothing official. I think Ariel or someone on that level quoted Dana as saying thats what he wanted but nothing official.

Originally Cub was hesitant because he says he was already promised a title shot. With Aldo getting injured, Cub is now saying he doesn't want to be on the shelf again and wants a big fight. Yesterday on the Ariel show, Cub said he is now willing to accept a fight with Frankie.
