Nate Diaz will end his hold out and face RDA
Lol at dude not even getting a new deal. Maybe next time he'll let a professional handle his negotiations
A source close to the Diaz camp confirmed to MMAFighting.com that Diaz will return under the terms of his old contract.Comment

I don't know why RDA is taking this fight. He should be next in line or 1 fight away from a title shot. Diaz gets him nothing other than maybe some money, but I doubt he even gets part of a PPV and with it on FOX probably nothing. Diaz shouldn't be getting a top level fighter like this when he is 1-2 in the last 2 years. He should have to prove he can beat someone who doesn't stand in front of him and not move.
I'm hoping RDA takes him down and subs him.Comment

Also, you shouldnt penalize Diaz that much for being 1-2. Henderson is 1-2 in his last 3 and I dont think that means he should have to work his way back up.Comment

I agree with what Aaron is saying plus fighters want to stay active.
Too me it's still a toss up with who gets the shot after Gil anyway. Assuming Khabib is still injured and RDA beats Nate and Cerrone beats Alvarez, then I'm not sure who deserves the next shot. RDA holds a recent win over Cerrone, but has lost this year. Cerrone has a more impressive streak (imo), but does his losses to RDA, (as well as Pettis if he beats Gil) push RDA above him? I don't know, all I do know is that if it all plays out like this, then it going to be a tough decision and it's only going to be more difficult when Khabib returns. My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague

i think regardless if Nate wins he shouldn't be near a title shot if hes gonna miss weight like that, it feels like Nate had done that in the pastComment

Like the guy said during the weigh-in (I think it was Ariel), perhaps something was agreed on behind the scenes. I'm sure he would've informed the UFC about the whole ordeal. He didn't seem effected by it at all when they said 160.6.
This beings up a question I have.. What is the most a fighter has missed weight by?

After a bit of time to think this over, I think Nate did this intentionally.
I think he's trying to get cut by the UFC so he can join Bellator, fight lower competition for more money. I wouldn't blame him.
Quick thought: What if the Diaz bros, Jake Shields, and maybe Gil all ventured into Bellator? They've all done a lot with Coker (besides Nate), so I'm pretty sure he'd be willing to splash the cash. I could see it happening.
