Yeah, Nick doesnt care. They will suspend him for a year and he probably wasnt planning to comeback during that time anyway.

He got suspended a year last time. I think they go higher this time.

Incredible that the UFC kept quiet about it. They should give a refund to all the ppv buyers. So damn sleazy.

Its weed though. Chael got 2 yrs and he was taking all kinds of PEDs. More than a yr for weed just seems excessive.

This is Diaz's third time getting caught. That doesn't help his case. I think he is done fighting for the UFC though.

Apparently he also tested positive for androsterone. So that's two different PED's in his system.

I'd let Diaz go. Not surprised with Silva and PED's; glad the random testing is catching guys. Guys will always work the system but at least Nevada is making an effort to corral the cheaters.

If I was Nick Diaz, I'd sue the UFC, or at least the lab. They let him get in the cage with a scientifically enhanced beast without telling him beforehand. I don't believe ESPN when they say that the tests were just revealed today.

The Nevada Athletic Commission confirmed that the results came in today. The results for 1/18 havent come in yet so I have no reason not to believe them.

Also, the UFC isnt handing out Diaz's suspension....NAC is. So the Jones comparison doesnt really work. Jones was tested out of competition for recreational drugs. Diaz's test was in competition and show that he still had the weed metabolites in his system during the fight. Also, this is Diaz's third failure.

One last point, the post fight test (the one Diaz was popped on) was just a urine test and those results can take less than 2 days to come back. The test Silva failed was a blood test and those take longer.

No excuse for taking this long but its not the UFC's fault.

I don't understand how they sort out things. It is quite unfair. But I think it's because Diaz have been positive for more than once?

Diaz failed a competition test, Jones failed an out of competition fight and those have different rules.

Silva passed his scheduled drug test on 1/19. His first random test in the UFC he fails, then is clean for his pre-fight test. Shows he knows how to cycle and probably using in the past.
