I wouldn't mind seeing Tate take a long time off. 9-12 months, in that range. I know she was champ really recently but I can't help but feel like she is entering the twilight years at this point

    Edit

    Nevermind she retired lol

Right, she definitely is more reckless than Holm but still more sharp than Rousey's shown so far. I think the grappling of Nunes can neutralize Rousey's grappling more than Holm and Rousey didnt even utilize a grappling heavy pressure against Holm. If Rousey respected Holms stand up like Khabib did MJs she could've outgrappled Holm like Tate. But against Nunes not so much.

RP wins this. Tate had to pull guard because of those stiff jab, they should include that as well as a
Prone to crawling sprawl like in the last round.

I have wanted a way to be mobile on the ground after they removed that Pettis trip. They should bring that back for some grappling fighters but they should have a more mobile prone guard (what exactly is the name of that position? The position from where you should be able to buttscoot. Werdum please come into my guard laying on his back?)

      e:

: ( Miesha Tate retires impromptu

All respect to a great career she pulled out the greatest win in wmma with her win over Holy Holm and is a former champ beating the one who beat Rousey. Appropriate time to call it, but maybe she comes back within a few years if she gets the itch again, she's only 30.

Now its time for Weidman vs Romero, this should be real fun to watch to see the extreme athleticism of Romero and how hell try to cheat this time and Weidman how he deals with coming off his first loss.

Two terrible performances by Miesha, I don't see her challenging for the title again.

Tate is done, the other women have surpassed her. She can beat the other no talents, but being tough isn't good enough any more.

          Everyone is getting better grappling.

Disregard last post. lol she retired.

Yeah, she was active a long time. I remember when she beat Coenen in Strikeforce and she was "Takedown Tate" back then.

            Great career

She just retired, good move, she didn't look good the last 2 fights.

Hope she stays retired. I was thinking I don't care to see her fight anymore. There is nothing more for her to gain except unneeded concussions imo.

I'd love to see her become an analyst, she always has good insights and is really eloquent.

Of course I want Weidman to win, but I'm sure Yoel's post fight speech would be bonkers.

Wonder how bad Yoel cheats tonight, his fence grab in fight before PED suspension was among the worst I have seen.

Crazy. I don't follow the sport as closely as anyone here, but it seems like yesterday I watched her beat Holmes and suddenly she's done.

I'd like to buy this card. I was really looking forward to watching Thompson-Woodley, but I couldn't justify the $90 (CDN+taxes) for the fight.
                        I hope I don't regret it.

She has a lot of MMA miles on her.

UFC taking as big risk putting Yoel in white shorts.

I am rooting for Weidman big time.

I think either of these guys rock Bispings world.
