        Alves - Miller still on.

Because the commission required the fighters to be within five pounds of each other, Miller rehydrated and weighed in over the 156-pound limit for what is now a 163-pound catchweight affair. Alves was fined 20 percent of his purse (Miller wasn’t fined) and can weigh no more than 173 pounds on fight night.

So if Kelvin had talked to a Cowboy they could have worked something out to where Cowboy rehydrated enough to bridge the gap to a legal weight disparity?

Masvidal, or Jouban might take the fight with Cowboy.

I was watching on mmafighting and they were talking about that. Someone asked the commission about it and they didn't give a straight answer. It sounded like the 5lb limit wasn't the same for each weight class or that the 5lb limit was incorrect and never should have been given.

Since Cowboy had already weighed in, he couldn't bring his weight up like Miller did.

Edit: Saw that it was 7lbs max separation, so Gaselum was really over weight and didn't even try to cut much.

I guess that is a pretty decent consolation prize. I still feel for Cowboy. Seemed like he really wanted to fight at MSG

This trash talk by Eddie is brutal. I had not even seen it.

If he's not at the early prelims than he's not real lol. I expect the earlier prelims to be packed like it's an out of the country card.

Nate was the bigger fighter, for sure, but he's not exactly a TD machine in the least bit either.

Chad had very little issue with the TD against Conor and Eddie is like a bigger, better version of Chad. Also the cardio issue just scares me with Conor.

That being said Conor has that death-hand power in his left and is very smart in the ring. I would love it so much if he wins.
This pretty much. Honestly only way Eddie wins is if he can use that clinch and those td's and impose the grind on Conor or if he somehow catches him with something on the feet that hurts him or flash ko's him. Other than that, Conor will most likely just pick him apart on the feet and probably finish him. Wouldnt exactly say he has a death left hand...he doesnt exactly have that real one hit ko power like a Hendo or Rumble or anything, but he definitely has a more powerful left hand than most. You dont want him tagging you with it.

I'll be at the Garden at six. I've been to 10 UFC events and seen every fight. Way too expensive to miss prelim fights.
