I have to agree with BG, the ring looks stupid.

It would be like someone making an alternate form of football, making it indoors, 50 yard field and hockey type sidelines, then calling it football.

I can think of other ways. I don't really "feel" the 6 sided ring myself but it isn't something that'll stop me from watching the product from time to time.

As for other ways of differentiating themselves: go with Mexican rules. I watched the old WCW produced AAA/MLL joint PPV and Mexican wrestling is some of the craziest stuff i've ever seen.

I have tried to watch some of the AAA/MLL promotions even thought I can't understand anything that is being said. I can't stand the rules and there action is hard to follow, because they are so all over the place in the ring. I only can watch it for like 5 minutes then I am turning it.

But remind me how many sides the field has, compared to other forms of football. If they were to simply take the ring and make it considerably smaller, that is one thing -- ECW thrived with a smaller ring, after all -- but adding two useless sides is totally different.

If you want to be different and unique, how about letting the product itself reflect that. There are going to be a lot more people like myself who see the six-sided ring, laugh at it and say, "this is dumb" than are going to say, "hrm, this new ring intrigues me" and stick around to see what goes down.

I just dont get your problem with it. Sure its completely pointless but I dont see where it takes away from the product at all.

Yeah, same here....don't really see how it takes away from the product. Can understand saying it's pointless, but I really don't think it's that big of a deal.

Yeah...it's a little "wait..wtf?" at first but once you watch I don't really even notice it anymore except during gimmick matches.
