A night with marks...

So I went to Hooters for the ppv tonight and I took in my first ppv with real marks... needless to say it was scary... marks are quite possibly the most ignorant people I've ever met...

Here's some comments...

ECW sucks man... bring back the old blood and guts, you know that's all it was, they didn't actually wrestle, it was just weapons 24/7

Big Show sucks... Man he only quit Raw cause he wasn't as good as Snitsky...

Why don't they give Hogan the title... he's obvious the best wrestler in the WWE...

DX is so great... Vince really loves cocks...

Spirit Squad are fags... I heard about it from one of my friends... they're all gay...

Cena is the man... He's so street, only fags don't like him...


Basically the average mark is beyond dumb, and I am starting to finally grasp why Vince runs his company as he does... Marks outnumber smarks by a ton, and marks eats up whatever **** Vince wants them to...

It was a fun night, but man it was an eye opener... Tonight I was educated on the average fan... quite frankly I was embarassed... Now I know why I watch wrestling alone.

Dude, I was at Summerslam tonight, and I was sitting next to the whole "Old school ECW/Cena can't do a thing right to save his life/Hogan should die/Edge is God" smark section. Damn they were annoying thinking they knew every little frigging thing.

agreed... I am especially becoming tired of the old school and or clueless fans that think old school ECW was just weapons and violence... it also had some great wrestling that was very inovative at the time.... Sandman and Dreamer do not provide that great wrestling... so the next time someone yells same old **** at Cena as he bust out a move I think they should also be doing it for the ECW old timers like Sabu and RVD... they're just as stale if not more so then Cena or Big Show... fans in general are very hypocritical and ECW fans are no different.

I am not sure what Marks is...But this mostly sounds to me what 95% of Wrestling fans are like, Simple. There are only so many people like us on the Message boards that watch wrestling and go into details. Sometimes I think wrestling is going so bad but then I talk to guys at work they are freaking loving it.

I do know what Superstar's referring to...i've seen a few PPV's over time at bars, and it's quite an interesting experience to say the least. I more enjoy UFC PPV's at Hooters, people have opinions on guys, but there's not as much of the know it all smarks or total clueless marks out there as there is for wrestling.

I did this last night for the first time since Royal Rumble, and I had a blast. Last night was only me and one friend though and man 40 bucks is just too much to spend every month on a PPV.

Ouch, my wife probably knows more about the WWE than the people you described. I guess I am lucky, everyone I watched wrestling with was always an educated fan and they got me into it. Fortunately I've never dealt with the average mark.
