Didn't pay dues? Compared to whom? I'd say working in Mexico for years is paying dues. I think his style is fine, it's just different from what WWE fans are used to seeing, and what WWE wrestlers are used to working with. There were going to be bumps along the road, especially with no cruiserweight division. That was a huge plus for Mysterio when he started in WWE because he had guys that could keep up with him. Aside from Kidd, Bryan and a few others, WWE guys have been mostly trained to work the typical WWE style.

I think it'd be a shame for WWE to just give up on Sin Cara.

I doubt they give up on him, the guy was the top draw in Mexico and especially with WWE getting huge in Mexico (they're getting 6 and 7 TV ratings compared to AAA which is getting 2s and 3s.) They just signed Averno to help out and are doing a live Raw in Mexico in October. He'll probably be back by October.

And I agree with you with Sin Cara paying his dues already. The guy was/is to Lucha Libre to what Cena is to the WWE.

Don't shoot the messenger, that's what I've read at several sites.

That is the one thing I still miss about WCW and ECW...their great cruserweight divisions.

Yeah, I don't think WWE would just cut ties with Sin Cara just like that. After they had invest a lot in him & bringing in a guy like Averno to help him out also. He'll most likely be back by the middle of August or Beginning of September

Sean Waltman had a tweet a little while ago that was towards Colt Cabana and said something like, "In 2 weeks you are going to have more followers than me" or something like that.

Sin Cara has been removed from the Friday Night SmackDown intro video. Maybe WWE really is thinking about releasing him after all?

It was never going to be a long-run stable, imo. Outside of Barrett, Bryan, and maybe Gabriel, there was never anyone with real ability there. Once Bryan was fired, it became about Barrett, and then Punk. The couple of them that showed glimpses are injured or in developmental. Gabriel is the only one of the supporting cast that was ever strong. It's no big loss. It was a fun angle at first, but it was never a strong group.

Exactly and it gave oppurtunities for Otunga/Slater/ and others to get exposure and develop there characters. When you look back now, to me Nexus was a way of getting their unknowns familiar with the audience. Stables and factions are the best ways to do that.

Well, it had the potential to be a long-lasting group, but WWE didn't book Nexus properly after the SummerSlam main event. They almost brought it back with the John Cena is begrugedly a member of Nexus and then fired storyline, but after that, it was all downhill. It still would've been nice for WWE to at least write the group off of TV.

So I'm sure everyone saw the tweet Chris Jericho put out concerning CM Punk.

“Everyone is so excited that @CMPunk mentioned me on Raw. Newsflash…I don’t give a sh*t. Mind ur own business and stop rippin me off Punk.”
In an update on this, one WWE source notes that Jericho has been pitching for himself to work with Punk at WrestleMania next year. Additionally, it was confirmed that this reaction is storyline oriented, and there is no real bad blood between Punk and Jericho following RAW.

I'd be down with that, although I'm still hoping that we get Austin vs. Punk at WM. I'd go for Triple H vs. Punk, too, but I have a feeling that may happen before we get to WM.
