Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread

    IDK, I found this interesting.

    - WWE is very high on Dan Rodman right now. He was put into main event matches with John Cena at house shows last weekend so WWE could see how he handled big matches. Johnny Ace is really supporting Rodman so he may be called up soon. Rodman used to go as Daniel Rodimer on Tough Enough.
I haven't been all that impressed with the little I've seen of him, but this is interesting. They go from wanting to put him with Rated RKO, to souring on him, to this?! They flip flop more than a multi-man X-Division match.

ECW Star Pushed To Main Event Level, New Gimmick, More
      Source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter

With the recent draft of Viscera to the ECW brand, don’t be surprised if you see him on television more now, as WWE has some big plans for this massively large wrestler.

WWE is going to drop his current gimmick of being “The World’s Largest Love Machine” and make him more of a One Man Gang character, which means he will be basically be a mean, bad, wrecking machine. The idea for this is to get him over as big and unstoppable in ECW, and then bring him back to RAW or SmackDown! as a monster heel that can headline main events. They recently did this with Snitsky who is scheduled to mow down undercarders for the rest of the year and feud with Cena in 2008.

Reason behind Viscera’s push is because of his massive size and unlike some of the wrestlers backstage, he doesn’t have many problems. Dave Lagana didn’t want him on the brand if he wasn’t revamped with new image because he felt the “Love Machine’ gimmick would never get over as a headliner for the company. Furthermore, Vince McMahon liked the idea of Viscera being pushed like the One Man Gang in the 80's. Plus, it's easy to convince Vince to push a monster, even it's failed a few times before, as opposed to a smaller person, even if the person has a history of past success.

      Very interesting.

I find Vis more entertaining than Henry, Kane, Khali, Snitsky, or Batista...so it doesn't sound like a bad idea to me

Interesting idea with Viscera. Can someone tell me how he got back into the WWE, I was on a wrestling hiatus when he left and came back.

Any rumors on Chris Jericho returning to the WWE?

Vis has actually always been entertaining, even back with the Ministry.

He can "move" for a big guy and always seems to actually try in the ring, instead of just going with his size.

If I recall right, he disappeared in 96 after his push as King Mabel failed. Then he came back in 99 against Mick Foley on HeAt the night of the Royal Rumble(he was used to soften Foley up for The Rock later that night). From there he joined the Corporate Ministry, became Viscera, and has been jobbing ever since on HeAt/Velocity/Shotgun/rare Raw/etc.

Last rumor I heard was Jericho is turned off by the McMahon angle and has no interest in returning until it's over. That being said, it's the internet so more than likely that's just made up to get the IWC fuming again. They have supposedly been in pursuit of him over the last few months

That would be cool to give him a One Man Gang type gimmick.

Reports about Jericho say he's really turned off by the Vince angle, and wants no association with WWE at this time.

The Evansville Courier & Press has an article on Chris Jericho today. As previously reported, Jericho will be signing autographs at the HookNShoot MMA show at the Owensboro Sportscenter in Kentucky. He talked about the sport of MMA and discussed the possibility of him returning to pro wrestling. He talked about needing a break after 15 years on the road as a wrestler and said, "you never know what might happen over the next six months, the next year or so." As we reported on the site earlier, Jericho talked about his lack of interest in returning to WWE with the current McMahon-death angle going on, among other reasons. WWE has made attempts to get into contact with Chris Jericho about a possible return. Based on what is known at this time, Jericho was said to have been really turned off by the current McMahon angle and reportedly doesn't want to be associated with WWE at this time. Many expect Jericho to make a wrestling return within the next year or two and TNA is definitely not out of the question.
That's real funny, because the article in question has nothing about the McMahon angle in it at all... Might want to check the sources next time...

I think where they are getting that quote from... and I had to do some digging but from what I can find it seems that there's a "supposed" audio report out with him saying it but no one can actually find this report.

Internet is full of half truths... I try not to believe any of it.

Yeah, I try not to go on the "dirt sheets" either, but seeing I haven't been watching RAW, ECW, or Smackdown the last couple weeks, I try to keep up with it. I was just trying to show JJ where I got it from because he asked, that's all.

I'm guessing what Majinger posted in the Triple H thread was the report in this week's Observer. For those that didn't see it...

Supposedly, Trips is putting off a match with Randy Orton until Survivor Series. He wants Orton to take the belt from Cena and have Cena chase. Meltzer doesn't go into what the plan is after that, but one has to figure that Trips takes the belt from Orton, turns heel and then feuds with Cena. That's the only way this makes sense...

I hope it's not exactly true, because I didn't buy floor seats to SummerSlam to see Orton beat Cena in the Main Event. Shoot, I don't wanna see Orton in the Main Event, period. I freakin' hate that guy, and not in the "oh, he's a heel" way.

Of course, who knows the validity of this...but where there's smoke, there's fire.
