As part of the ups-and-downs that comes with the territory, The Miz is reportedly taking heat for R-Truth's near-injury on Raw. According to PWInsider.com, Miz was scripted to absorb Truth's fall on a flip dive, but was out-of-position, leading to Truth smacking the floor. Miz, who has been booked to lose every match he's been involved in in 2012, is also being scapegoated for a lower-than-expected Survivor Series PPV buyrate. The mistimed spot compounds an already tough beginning to 2012 for Miz.

While Miz was terrible last night (in more than just that R-Truth spot), and his promos have been equally terrible lately - I find myself hardpressed to find ANY reason to agree with officials that MIZ is the reason no one bought Survivor Series.

Maybe it was the fact that WWE made it out to look like there was NO way Miz/Truth were going to win. Or maybe people don't actually care about Rock/Cena (or they thought the whole "Cena begging Rock" type angle was dumb).

Blaming The Miz for the buy rates for Survivor Series being low is the same thing as blaming a guy like Brandon Pettigrew for Super Bowl ratings to go down if the Lions make it to the Super Bowl next year. It just makes no sense at all. And besides, your heels aren't supposed to be your major draws, your babyfaces are. How about blaming Dwayne or John instead? Or perhaps the bookers for putting them in a match that nobody cared about.

However, the Miz has been terrible for quite a time now. He literally stole Jericho's gimmick.

While I hate agreeing with a lot of the posts about Miz, I do. He's has not looked good some time now. He's had some good moments (I enjoyed R-Truth chasing him around the arena), but overall, it's hasn't been good.

That being said, I think a reason for that could be the fact that he's been blamed for a lot of things that aren't his fault. The low Survivor Series buy rate (which, if it is true, is total B.S.), the demise of Awesome Truth (bad creative decisions, not to mention R-Truth suspension) and now this whole ordeal, which he actually does deserve to get some flack for. I think it's starting to take a serious mental toll on him, and it may be good for him personally to take some time off.

I'd like to comment specifically on the Survivor Series thing, though. That's a load of horse ****. When Cena single-handedly destroyed Awesome Truth, how is anyone going to buy that Awesome Truth can beat Cena AND The Rock? That and the fact Awesome Truth was treated as pure cannon fodder for the Cena/Dwayne feud. It would be nice for creative to take some blame for failures instead of dumping them off on the talent all the time.

Cena doesn't need to be a full heel but, adding some edge to the character can't hurt. I would love to hear him say "to those of you who support me thank you and to those of you who don't........screw you" The crowd would just go crazy. See how quick they flipped on Eve last night make Eve and Cena a coulple and boom
