Even if it's just for one night... I want an excellent RAW. That's all I ask for. There are always gonna be down nights, I would just like a slow, steady improvement to take place.

Sara Amato (Sara Del Rey) has already started coaching in Tampa this week for WWE's NXT developmental territory. Amato, 31, described her position with WWE as a dream job having been in the wrestling industry for 11 years now and is now able to make money full-time as a wrestler. As of now they have no plans to use her as a talent on television.

Someone went off on Vince backstage:

In light of recent declining TV ratings, a number of WWE stars have reportedly approached Vince McMahon and voiced their concern over WWE’s current product.

Apparently an unidentified top WWE star engaged in a verbal confrontation with McMahon in front of the locker room at last night’s Raw in Sacramento, CA.
The star told McMahon that the writing sucks and that McMahon doesn’t have his finger on the pulse of things anymore. The talent continued on to verbalize that McMahon needs to start listening to people around him, and that when WWE goes to “hell in a handbasket,” it will be all Vince’s fault.

There's very few people that could've said that and not be FE'd today. Cena is obvious but the way he's been used is a significant part of the reason they're in this mess. Could've been Punk but it doesn't say during or after the show. Can probably rule him out for after. Orton being 1 strike away from being fired might not care. ADR has been fortunate and I'd expect he realizes that. Sheamus maybe?

I hope that really happened either way, because it's right. They have no idea how to develop anyone anymore.

Could be Triple H too. My money would be on him, Punk, or Orton.

I could definitely see it being Orton as he's probably not being used properly(as in being a heel).

Lanny Poffo said it best in a video I saw: "The talent is there, and it may be better than it ever was. However, what I think they need to do is fire all the writers." (not verbatim, just a paraphrase).

Going through nostalgia and watching old Attitude stuff, I agree. The talent in the ring is much much better now, but in ring talent isn't a focus. It's weird watching an actual wrestling match w/ holds and pace and actually hearing the commentators call the match now. A lot of guys mike skills need work though.

Unless WWE shifts it's focus to the in ring product, I'm not sure the talent level matters.

The E does too much focusing on things which are not about the talent. And their too stuborn on their "squash push" dynamic. If instead of having superstar X demolish jobber y, have them show off their talents and show the audience why they are both on their television sets. If the E lets these guys put on consistent good matches with some semblence of a storyline alot of their problems would go away imo.

Additionally they need to bring characters back to the program. Identifiable gimmicks. in this new reality age, too many wrestlers are just there as a name and wrestler with nothing to differentiate.

Back in the day you had characters like Bossman, The Godfather, Val Venis, Sexual Chocolate Mark Henry, Gangrel, Road Warriors, New Age Outlaws, Acolytes, Goldust, Hogan, Austin, the 4 Mike Foleys etc etc etc. These guys werent the most Dolph Ziggler or CM Punk type of wrestlers but they had characters that people wanted to see and brought a variety to the show that quite frankly isnt there anymore. Few guys today actually have gimmicks that make them seem larger than life, different from any schmo you see on the street today.

I could separate the roster into those with actual gimmicks from those who have taglines and are just talented wrestlers and the latter would drastically out number the former. Maybe the PG thing is hampering these guys options for their characters.

I agree 100% I really miss the characters and its hurt the mid card It all started with WCW when Nash and Hall went over. Another thing and they have it now with Paul so I hope he hangs around is a top heel manager. Back in the day anyone you put with bobby the brain would auto get over just bc he was so good.
