Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread

Psycho Sid Vicious talks about a WWE return in a new interview with The Ottawa Sun. After doing some indy shows recently, Sid says he is ready for a return to WWE. "This business needs me as bad as I need the business. I've got a helluva gimmick that's guaranteed to make them money. It would be the greatest comeback in not just wrestling, but in sports history. Nobody has ever come back from a compound fracture two inches above the ankle."

The injury Sid is talking about is the one he suffered after attempting a flying knee off the second rope in a 2001 match with Scott Steiner for WCW. Sid says WCW asked him to do the move and he wanted no part of it. "Johnny Ace says, 'Why don't you try a flying knee off the second rope.' It was a stupid move. I said I didn't want to do it, but they said it was written in my contract. I came back three months early for the match. I still hadn't recovered from shoulder surgery. I couldn't hold my belt up ... I couldn't pull my wallet out of my pants. A knee off the second rope? I think a rake of the eyes would have had the same effect. I wasn't told the truth by my doctors for a long time. Finally, one doctor told me I may never walk again."

No word yet if WWE has any interest in Sid at the moment, but it was rumored a month or so back that his name had been tossed around within the company.

It'd probably be a quasi Jesus ressurection gimmick grafted onto his "ruler of the world" shtick.

I always liked Sid's crazy interviews tho so it'd be cool to see him around even if it's only for a couple weeks.

Uh, wasn't Sid drinking pretty heavily before that match? I've heard reports after that how he was half s***faced during that match.

              WWE Brand Extension Ending

When WWE received the 2.5 rating for Raw, there was real panic in Stamford, CT. One of the ideas discussed during the week was to combine the rosters, and eliminate the tri-branded direction. At least, it was discussed, and either way, expect WWE to push the reset button on Monday night.

              --------------------------------------------------------------

This will be interesting and makes you wonder what will happen come Monday night.

Maybe they'll have HHH come back early? New GM of Raw? Foley appearance?

Who knows. I definitely think something big will happen tomorrow night. I'm thinking they'll have wrestlers from all three brands there.

So an end to the brand extension could be coming?

Well I must say for me that would suck because of Comcast and their exclusive agreement with the local CW.

                      FINALLY!

I think they should push RAW to a 3 hour format kinda like what WCW did for a while as WWE does have a rather large roster as it is. Have the main action on RAW then the B and C guys on Smackdown and for the big angles have them carry over onto Smackdown as well.

How is it is the same? RAW isn't a 3 hour show. Smackdown has a whole bunch of different guys on another "brand". I'm saying having it like the way it used to be where some of the bigger storylines carry over to SD while advancing the B and C storylines as well.

They used to do that before the brand extension and it worked quite well. I remember how some of the huge storylines involving the Rock and Triple H and the Austin/McMahon war extended over to SD as well.

I really like the brand extension only for the purpose that it allows more talent to be showcased as opposed to only having everyone dumped on one main roster.

The brand extension is not working right as many have said and it seems like they just don't know how to make this right. Their tri-brand PPV's goes to show it.

Even if they end it, a three hour wrestling show on free TV is a HORRIBLE idea.

Agree, I do not want a 3 hour tv show. 9 to 11 is fine as it is. I would be happy if they made it all 1 Group tho and only have 1 heavy weight champion and so on with the belts. You could easily fit in enough people on all 3 shows and keep storylines going.

I don't see any of this happening tho, Everytime something big happens everyone on this board thinks this is gonna happen and it never does...It won't

                                Tho I hope it does
