Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread

There were conflicting reports earlier this afternoon in regards to the whereabouts of Jeff Hardy. Early reports indicated he was either sent home or no-showed. According Jeff Hardy’s official website, he sustained neck and back injuries from his fall on last week’s RAW telecast. The WWE has given him time off to heal, no word on when he will return. Below is the official statement:

Jeff sustained neck and back injuries from his fall on last weeks RAW (7/23/07). They (WWE) are giving him time off to heal.

Yeah... that sounds more like it... that was a NASTY injury. I mean, it's a wonder he didn't break his neck from that botched springboard (I think it was)...

Yeah... it looked like it hurt.

        I can't blame him.

According to Dave Scherer, the statement Jeff Hardy made on his website is not true. Jeff stated that he was given time off to heal from neck and back injuries after a fall last week on RAW. Several sources within the WWE say Jeff has been suspended for his lack of maturity.

When the story originally broke out, there were several conflicting reports of him either no showing or being sent home from TV. All of those reports appear to be false.

Jeff has not been released from the company but isn’t expected to be back for at least 30 days. He will obviously miss this year’s Summerslam PPV.

Who knows what to believe now. It just seems odd that he would be suspended the week after he took what looked like a bad injury. I mean I thought he broke his neck at first. Unfortunately, this isn't the first time for Jeff.

Yeah, none of this makes any sense with so many conflicting reports. The guy took such a nasty bump last week.

I don't know, the statement from Hardy's site did seem fishy, but Dave Scherer and the rest of pwinsider of are a bunch of douchebags. I'll wait for one of the big three (Meltzer, Alvarez and Keller) to pick up the story.

                Naturals are in trouble already?

It was reported last week that the former TNA tag team 'The Naturals' would be getting a tryout match with WWE at the September 17th Raw in Nashville, TN. However, the deal may have fallen through as one source claimed that when WWE heard that Andy Douglas (the dark-haired one) had announced the tryout on his MySpace page, WWE either nixed it or told him to remove it immediately. Chase Stevens, the blonde-haired one, is said to be really angry about this. The message has since been removed from Douglas' MySpace, so there's definitely something to the story.

Figured I'd put it here since certain people have a problem with stuff like this...

--There are meetings today and tomorrow regarding what to do about the Raw rating on Monday. Vince is encouraging ideas out of the box to turn things around. The writing team is said to be under major stress. I guess the big idea is Vince returning to Raw in the opening segment of Monday's show.
And in last week's Observer, it was said that Vince gave Raw head writer Brian Gerwitz some grief.

                  We shall see...

I sure hope they can come up with something better than Vince returning... I mean I enjoy his on-screen persona as much as anyone, but that just doesn't seem like a good idea to me. And it's certainly not 'outside the box' thinking...

Perhaps having Orton win the belt off of Cena on Raw, or have HHH return and win it. They haven't hyped SS that much yet, so a card change could be feasible. Besides, I don't think many are anxiously awaiting Cena/Orton anyways, well at least for the 'right' reasons...

Yeah Orton is the logical choice for the person Cena drops the belt too. I think Cena could stick with the same gimmick and would be more popular if he was chasing a heel Orton in efforts to get the belt back. I could also see Cena departing to Smackdown after HHH returns so he could compete for the SD title.

Orton is the future of the company, they really need to do something with him soon. They don't have a big star like a Rock or Austin anymore. Even HHH isn't really on that level (never was IMO) so they need to do something big with Orton before things get too far down the crapper.

Maybe an early HHH return? Probably not though. Vince will take out his "anger" on Cena. He'll book him in some crazy match where has all the odds against him. Then Cena will overcome those impossible odds for another win.

Yeah, it would be more logical, but face-Vince isn't entertaining Vince, at least not as entertaining to me. I really hopes he stays off the air for a while. I'd rather see Shane-O Mac to tell you the truth... at least he'll throw himself all over the place like a good little spot-monkey.
