The movie business doesnt work like that, or rather being a movie star doesnt. He wanted to do it all and he did his best to do so. I rather he left now just so we can move on from hearing about this. Damned if you do damned if you don't.

Im glad he came back and gave even a taste of nostalgia even if it wasnt all the way. It was stale and could have been way better but whatever. I wont hold it against him and ride his dead horse into the ground even further.

I'm not mad he came back for Mania. He did his thing and I could largely ignore it while he brought in done numbers for RAW.
I would have an issue if he stayed champion past Mania without wrestling on RAW or being there at least half the time.

Mania has always been about memorable spots and pop culture. Now it's time for the WWE to prove they can keep fans interested, since the upcoming PPVs don't sell themselves like WM does.

Really? If his rehab doesn't go well and he ends up needing surgery, and they have to push back Hercules filming, that will be a big deal to movie execs. At that point, the movie probably won't be ready for a summer 2014 release. If it gets pushed back too far, people (like the director) might start backing out. So if I'm making a movie that I want to release for summer 2015, and am likely to start filming around April or May 2014, I'm not signing on The Rock unless he signs a contract saying he won't wrestle past probably February. That's just smart business. And if he says "no", then fine, I go get someone else.

The only way he could realistically do that would be to shoot one movie a year. He only shoots about 3 a year as is. And beyond shooting, there's also publicity (which is why he wasn't on TV more the last three months even though he wasn't shooting).

And like I said, doubt he's hurting for cash. He always has milk commercials he can fall back on. If Hollywood wants the Rock, they'll still get him. If he wants to wrestle, they don't have to be paranoid about filming right after he's done. As long as the injuries are minor, a 4-6 month window is plenty of time to come in January/February, do his thing, go to Wrestlemania, and close out whatever needs to be done in April. If he gets hurt, he's got a few weeks to recover and then back to Hollywood he goes. If he really wants to do it, he's going to have to make changes. I'm pretty sure whoever he has scheduling his publicity can make it so that he is around more than the 50% he was this past few months.

Additionally, it's not like he's going to be doing this beyond another year or so. If he was 10 years younger and was juggling this schedule for the next 10 years, sure. But if he's about done, at least appear serious about wrestling.

He's really selling this fake injury, huh? It's almost been a week, Rocky, you can stop - the WWE does t expect their fans to remember stuff a week later.

How is he faking the injury? I've had a torn abdominal muscle and yeah it hurts but you can still work through the pain.

-- While WWE attributes his newfound popularity to the unusually rowdy crowd on Monday Night RAW, word going around is that management wants to test out Fandango with the main event wrestlers to see if the audience will accept him there. They already had him against Chris Jericho at WrestleMania 29. More testing could take place in the following weeks

Saw my Dr who had to push my intestines back thru the tear in my abdomen. Kinda romantic.

                        Surgery is next week. #BringItOn

I think you can let it go now. When the news came out, it was just him walking out. There was no mention of any injury until later in the day. And given how last year, he finished the match with a torn hamstring (perhaps) and didn't say a word about it until well after, no reason not to be skeptical.

I agree about the reason to be skeptical but if this was the other way all the Rock critics would still be going strong so I say let him run with it.

What's funny is even when reports came out later that Rock was injured, people were still questioning it, and I remember one poster in particular calling it brahmabull**** or something ( ) like that.

People are funny, I'll just leave it at that so I don't hurt feelings.
