Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread

    - Some members of WWE's creative brain trust have pitched a match pitting CM Punk against Randy Orton at WrestleMania XXX. No additional details have been disclosed.

    - With Rob Van Dam expected to be written off television within the next week or so due to a contract matter, an angle has been discussed where his current manager, Ricardo Rodriguez, turns on the former ECW standout to partner up with Alberto Del Rio once again.

    - WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross was asked on Twitter about what he thought of NXT Star Kassius Ohno, Ross responded, "I've always held @KassiusOhno in high regard & feel he can contribute significantly in @WWE in the future."

Ohno replied to Ross' response, writing on Twitter, "@JRsBBQ You're too kind, Jim. You've always been incredibly helpful & we all miss you at NXT. Hope to see you around!"

    - Damien Sandow commented on his match at the Battleground pay-per-view event, writing on Twitter, "Battleground kickoff will be the first time myself and @HEELZiggler have ever faced each other. The show off vs. your uncrowned champion."

    - With Monday's Raw drawing one of its worst ratings figures in the last fifteen years (a 2.68 cable rating, with an average of 3.58 million viewers over the course of the show), there are people within WWE speculating that Vince McMahon will resurface on television sooner rather than later. Original creative plans call for the Chairman to return sometime in November.

    - It was teased that Paul Heyman wanted to marry Ryback after being "saved" at Night of Champions on Monday's episode of Raw. Instead, Heyman proposed that he become the latest "Paul Heyman Guy." Vince McMahon was behind a shock tactic taking place on the program, as he made it clear to members of the writing staff that they feature "a spectacle" to lure viewers of ESPN's Monday Night Football away during halftime. A unnamed creative writer then pitched the idea of teasing Heyman asking Ryback his hand in marriage.

    - This Sunday at WWE Battleground, Cody Rhodes and Goldust will look to not only regain their jobs but also save their father's, when they battle the team of Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins. Regarding Goldust's contract status with WWE, he has signed a short-term deal.

    - There has been a lot of talk within WWE about Daniel Bryan winning the 2014 Royal Rumble match. WWE reportedly has plans in place through Survivor Series and some main event plans in mind for the Rumble.

    - The latest word on Brock Lesnar is that he will be returning in time for the Royal Rumble. There was talk of having him work Hell In a Cell or Survivor Series but now it looks like he will be back closer to the end of 2013.

Some members of WWE's creative brain trust should be fired. They already did an Orton/Punk match at WM. Punk/Cena dammit! or Punk/Bryan.

Punk/Cena needs to be a Mania match.

          - It would appear that WWE's kid-friendly program, Saturday Morning Slam, is through as it is no longer listed as an active show on the company website and the new television season has begun without it airing.

          - The Undertaker could return to WWE programming as early as Survivor Series or the Royal Rumble, depending on his health.

Taker had agreed to appear at SummerSlam in a tag team match alongside Kane against The Shield, but was injured when the group slammed him through a table in a post-WrestleMania angle and has not appeared for the company since. Some creative ideas were presented to him when he met with Triple H last week, but as noted, his return will hinge on how he physically feels.

As noted earlier, both he and wife Michelle McCool recently paid a visit to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando. Of some who saw her, they feel she looks better now than when she regularly appeared for WWE.

          - Dolph Ziggler was originally scheduled to get beatdown by Randy Orton and then destroyed by The Shield in the ten-man match on the September 23rd RAW. Things were changed and that spot went to Rob Van Dam. WWE officials put RVD through this for not signing a new contract, according to The Wrestling Observer.

          - As noted before, there has been talk of giving Wade Barrett a push and re-packaging him. Apparently officials are considering bringing him back to TV with his Badnews Barrett gimmick that can be seen on The JBL & Cole Show.

          - Rey Mysterio is nearly recovered as he is hopeful to return to the squared circle by the end of October, following his lengthy string of injuries.

Mysterio is said to be determined to return strong and prove he is still as good as he was in 2007 and 2008.

          - Dylan Mile, a 25 year old from Colorado who recently went through a tryout at the Performance Center last month, has signed with World Wrestling Entertainment according to PWInsider.com. The 6'3, 285lb athlete wowed trainers with his agility, including a 37 inch vertical leap.

Other potential names that could be signed to developmental deals include Joey Ryan, Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards.

          - As seen on WWE TV as of late, WWE has been featuring Antonio Cesaro and his giant swing move. The idea is that the giant swing is a babyface spot so they're looking at getting Cesaro to turn babyface. Despite their recent wins, WWE creative is looking at breaking up the team of Cesaro and Jack Swagger.

I just find it hard to see Cena losing the Rumble, unless he and Lesnar are the final two.

While I would really hate it, it could mean Cena/Bryan at WM, for the whole "top face" (while I doubt this happens according to previous reports of it being McMahonamania) or Bryan goes Corporate and Cena, once again, is the savior of the Universe.

I don't think Cena wins the Rumble. I think he will be a big player heading towards Wrestlemania, but not until EC rolls around(Cena vs. Bryan vs. HHH/Orton for the title.)

Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread

                    - WWE creative writers are considering giving "Mr. Money in the Bank" Damien Sandow a run with the World Heavyweight Championship in large part due to Rob Van Dam's questionable future with the organization.

It has been reported that RVD has not agreed to a new contract with WWE. However, other sources claim he signed a deal where he continuously works three months and then takes three months off. Nonetheless, he is expected to disappear from WWE programming shortly after Sunday's Battleground pay-per-view event.

The reason the belt may wind up in the arms of Sandow is because it would instantly lead to a feud with Del Rio and creative wants the Mexican wrestler to be continuously featured in a top program. Another idea batted around is RVD winning the strap from Del Rio, with Sandow immediately cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase to claim the gold. However, some people in WWE feel this idea is unlikely to occur since it happened just two months ago at SummerSlam.

                    - This Sunday at the WWE Battleground pay-per-view, Daniel Bryan will face Randy Orton for the vacant WWE Championship. It appears likely that at least one more match between the two will take place as some within the company believe the Battleground finish will lead to a bout at Hell in the Cell on Oct. 27.

Regardless of the final outcome, current creative plans call for Big Show to return to the main event scene in a feud with "The Viper" in November and December.

Del Rio and Christian are in the exact same boat for me. They both are technically sound, but man, they are awful to listen to on the mic, Del Rio being the worst. They don't make me care about them at all as a character. I'm not sure Del Rio learned that you need a character to succeed in the WWE, compared to Mexico and it's more technical based wrestling.

So that means a face turn for Sandow or will they actually try heel vs. "I'm supposed to be heel but haven't gotten any reaction what-so-ever since turning back"?

I know I said this at Summerslam and was obviously wrong but I'll say it again anyway...they cannot possibly be that stupid.

Around 2:18 in the video describes Del Rio perfectly:

So I think there are two reasons why Ziggler is getting the short end of the stick ever since his cash in.

Either he smashed the wrong chick in the back or said the wrong thing so now hes getting punished for it. (Didnt he bang Nikki Bella back in the day? I bet he made a joke about it now that total divas is hot that got back to Cena and well...)

Or WWE is making a conscious effort to stifle Ziggler's rise to help Bryan get over more. Ziggler got a pop that could rival Bryan's chants and I wouldnt be shocked that the high ups want more focus to be on Bryan to get Bryan super over. I mean there are NO storylines anywhere else but the Bryan vs the Corp dynamic. WWE wants all eyes on that and right now Bryan is the one that is suppose to be our savior. Only other guys getting legit time to build something are Punk and the Heyman guys (and the Divas I guess).

I think it boils down to this not being Ziggler's time to be the guy. I know you can ask why wouldnt WWE want two guys becoming super duper over at the same time. I cant really answer that but I wouldnt be shocked if Ziggler gets his time in the limelight sometime down the line, maybe next year. There is just no way the rumors that they dont see money in Ziggler being true. It just cant be. So either he was shining too bright for their design right now, or he is just getting punished imo. The guy is a star.
