- With Rob Van Dam expected to be written off television within the next week or so due to a contract matter, an angle has been discussed where his current manager, Ricardo Rodriguez, turns on the former ECW standout to partner up with Alberto Del Rio once again.
- WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross was asked on Twitter about what he thought of NXT Star Kassius Ohno, Ross responded, "I've always held @KassiusOhno in high regard & feel he can contribute significantly in @WWE in the future."
Ohno replied to Ross' response, writing on Twitter, "@JRsBBQ You're too kind, Jim. You've always been incredibly helpful & we all miss you at NXT. Hope to see you around!"
- Damien Sandow commented on his match at the Battleground pay-per-view event, writing on Twitter, "Battleground kickoff will be the first time myself and @HEELZiggler have ever faced each other. The show off vs. your uncrowned champion."
- With Monday's Raw drawing one of its worst ratings figures in the last fifteen years (a 2.68 cable rating, with an average of 3.58 million viewers over the course of the show), there are people within WWE speculating that Vince McMahon will resurface on television sooner rather than later. Original creative plans call for the Chairman to return sometime in November.
- It was teased that Paul Heyman wanted to marry Ryback after being "saved" at Night of Champions on Monday's episode of Raw. Instead, Heyman proposed that he become the latest "Paul Heyman Guy." Vince McMahon was behind a shock tactic taking place on the program, as he made it clear to members of the writing staff that they feature "a spectacle" to lure viewers of ESPN's Monday Night Football away during halftime. A unnamed creative writer then pitched the idea of teasing Heyman asking Ryback his hand in marriage.
- This Sunday at WWE Battleground, Cody Rhodes and Goldust will look to not only regain their jobs but also save their father's, when they battle the team of Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins. Regarding Goldust's contract status with WWE, he has signed a short-term deal.
- There has been a lot of talk within WWE about Daniel Bryan winning the 2014 Royal Rumble match. WWE reportedly has plans in place through Survivor Series and some main event plans in mind for the Rumble.
- The latest word on Brock Lesnar is that he will be returning in time for the Royal Rumble. There was talk of having him work Hell In a Cell or Survivor Series but now it looks like he will be back closer to the end of 2013.
