Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread

There were rumors among the talent backstage at WrestleMania XXX that The Undertaker was
supposed to kick out or that the finish to his match with Brock
    Lesnar
was botched but as we've noted, that's not the case. The finish was
planned but was kept from people even very high up in WWE's marketing and
production departments. WWE officials were very
afraid of the finish leaking and it's said only a small circle of 4-6 people
    were aware.

    Vince
    McMahon
actually missed the WrestleMania main event and Daniel
    Bryan
's big win because he left his post to ride with Paul Heyman and Brock to the hospital
in the back of the ambulance to accompany Taker. Vince left it up to Triple
    H
    and Stephanie
    McMahon
to run the rest of the show, all while playing a role in the main
    event as well.<!--INFOLINKS_OFF-->

Well. Rumor mills are all that but that sounds right.

Even as Matt _Go mentioned during the german suplex manuvers. Clearly none of this is on Brock in my view point. Taker is done. Lets get a great retirement speech tonight.

Let's not forget he's a 6'10" 50 year old man. Guys his age shouldn't be doing this, because his knees, legs, body has to be shot from being his size and been going for almost 30 years. His legs have to be shot, from his knees to his hips and all the other bones (he did have hip surgery) in his lower half.

Can you think of anyone who wrestled at a high level into their 50's?

            Just wondering...

It makes sense if it happened before those belly to bellies. Everyone I was watching commented how scary those looked. It looked like Taker was deadweight and Lesnar had to Suplex him with no help.

Ric Flair is the only one who springs to mind...

Billy Gunn is still pretty solid. He's not amazing out there, but he never really was.

Flair had some good matches, but I wouldn't say he consistently worked at a high level.

R-Truth is only about 5 years younger than Taker. I know he's not in his 50s but it makes you think.

I'm still trying to figure out why anyone wants Sting in the WWE right now. I don't mind seeing him as a GM or something, but I have no desire to see him in the ring. I'm looking forward to guys like Daniel Bryan, Cesaro, The Shield members, etc. taking it to the next level and making 2014 a year for "the other guys." I'm very excited to see tonight's RAW.

I'm still shocked Brock ended the streak, but I'm also kinda glad he did. I hoped for a better match, but obviously the concussion stuff played a big part. Here's hoping The Undertaker rides off into the sunset now. He hasn't had anything to prove for quite some time, but he continued to give us great matches once or twice a year. It's time to move on and enjoy life as much as his body will allow. Taker will definitely headline the Hall of Fame class in 2015 or 2016.

The only part about R-Truth being 50 I think about is when the hell he's finally going to go away for good.

I just wish he'd get rid of those damn cheese doodles...

People as tall as Taker have lived the life he has break down much faster than regular folk.

Just watch him try to power bomb Lesnar off the turnbuckle. It was the saddest thing Ive seen since Flair got kicked in the face to end his WWE wrestling career. Taker was ready to hang em up.

Kane is next up. You notice how simple the bumps Kane takes are? Hes smart with his body but hes not far behind Taker in age.

Well they sure told the Titantron guy that Taker was going to lose because a minute after the match the 21-1 and was slapped on the screen.
