I've always noticed this trend. Most of the top guys are the "serious" type of characters where as your "fun" or non-serious ones are either jobbers or mid card guys. Who says that guys like Rose can't be top level guys? Why can't we have fun at the top guys

You can. The Rock was a "fun guy". DX were "fun guys".

You just can't have crappy gimmicks at the top, and that's what Rose is.

Rose would also make a great heel.
In my opinion he's a heel right now. Just think about what they have him doing weekly.

Exactly my point, but he's doing it to heels though, not faces. Imagine, if he started doing this stuff to faces? And being even more obnoxious about it? God my fantasy booking is going crazy with thoughts now.

And let's not act like a bunch of those main guys haven't gone through some 'fun' gimmicks before getting to the top. It's a tougher road to follow, but it's been done and is possible. The most recent example of a wrestler finishing a comedy gimmick/storyline would be DB. Team Hell No was all about comedy till the very end against The Shield, he just knew how to take that and go to the next level. .... Others can too if given a better chance than a burial after one week.

It was a comedy bit, but at that point both DB were established as legitimate guys. Both were former World Champions. There's a difference between being in comedy bits and being a comedy character.

It has little to do with guys being "fun" or not. But your top guys have to be more realistic, relatable characters. Adam Rose can have a long career with this character, make a lot of money, have some great matches. But short of a repackage, he's never going to be WWE champ. And there isn't anything wrong with that. The card needs a couple guys like Rose. He's good enough to know how to keep himself looking credible too, unlike a guy like Santino

That's a fair point too man. I hope I didn't give anybody the wrong idea with my statement haha. I was just thinking about the ring work combined with the character as well. Someone mentioned The Rock as an example. Me having grown up in that era I really enjoy that guy in the ring and as a character. Much like I do now with Bo and Adam Rose. I guess that was more of my point than anything.

Im not advocating for Bo Dallas or Rose to be Shield and Wyatts and shoot for the top of the card right out the gates. But its completely absurd for the brass to lose faith in them so soon when they have done nothing but have them tread water with the booking.

WWE can make anybody credible with the right gimmick and push. Its the guys they dont give that benefit of the doubt that seem to be judged the most harshly. You cant debut Adam Rose and in two months with no match over 2 minutes, and no actual feuds expect him to be over like gang busters. Its not gonna happen. You push Shield to the top of the card right out the gates and people buy them instantly. The difference is the gimmick and the storytelling. You cant hold guys to these high standards if you give them **** to work with. Thats my point. Its mind numbing sometimes and you can only hope the dirt sheets are making things up.

How can they seriously hold Rose, Paige and Dallas' lack of roaring crowd against them? Are they ignoring their own booking just to blame someone other than themselves?

I actually think Paige gets a decent reaction weekly considering how poorly shes being booked. The submission is over for sure.

Exactly. Shield's first match was against Team Hell No and freaking Ryback when he was almost unbeatable. And they won.

No disrespect to them, but if Shield had squashed 3MB in their first match they probably wouldn't have been as successful as they were.

The crowd went bonkers for Rusev and Reigns because they knew there were two big *** kickers in the ring and something was going to go down.

That's what happens when you book people in dominant fashion, which is a positive for having squashes, but booking people against top guys from the word go works as well.

How well it works does depend on the characters and how they can develop.

WWE didn't used to do these dumb *** debuts. Off the top of my head, Jericho went right after the Rock, the Radicals went after someone, I think the Dudleyz too. Hell, even the sprit squad was in the middle of the DX/McMahon feud.

And Jericho will tell you in his 2nd book (just finished it) that his debut wound up meaning pretty much nothing after two months.

So while the debuts are important, the next 2-3 months afterwards mean just as much, if not more. Good thing for Jericho he is as talented as he is and was able to force his way back into the main event scene, but that does not happen for everyone.

One of the Los Matadores suffered what appeared to be a serious knee injury at
                          today's WWE live event
in Newark, Delaware. After he went down, the referee threw up the dreaded "X"
symbol and the WWE medical staff came out. The rest of the match was said to be
panicked and rushed. We're not sure if it was Fernando
or Diego yet but they were taken to the back with the rest of the participants
in the match looking on concerned.

That means Slater and Hornswoggle will be bored for awhile
                          atleast..Its not Delaware
