I dont see how they could possibly tape Smackdown right after Raw and keep Raw live. And it would be odd seeing the same exact fans on both shows.

In my opinion, the only way to really have a good product again where they'd get decent ratings would be to move smackdown back to Thursdays, raw back to two hours and then do a real brand split. Supershows and the 3 hours shows is just too much, and not enough versatility or good storylines.

For whatever reason they will always wanna see the old guy wrestle. I don't know why the guy isn't even cleared to take bumps and his deal is a PR one not as an active performer.

RAW wont go back to 2 hours because of the extra money they get for the 3rd hour while the show would be a lot better if it was. The third hour always has a big drop in viewership. They gave up on the brandsplit in 2007 when they dropped the brand exclusive shows and honestly I doubt they would put enough talent on Smackdown to make it worthwhile to do brand exclusive shows again.

There's more than enough talent, they just don't want to develop it. I still stand by 02-06 is the best time frame in WWE history.

I would love to see a brand split again. Me and my friend talk about this all the time. I think it would allow more talent to show itself more than they do right now.

04-06 Smackdown was pretty bad. Anyway they have good talent in NXT but your mid card is full of guys who have been around for years and have the jobber stigma. At this point I don't see how you could re-push a Dolph Ziggler or a Cesaro (Hes getting to Ziggler Level Now) with people not taking them serious. I mean they were set in 2013 with Ziggler after Mania then he got concussed but the thing that did him in was running his mouth on Twitter saying stupid crap that got him into issues. Cesaro was ready to be pushed after Mania year. They gave him Heyman and on paper it all looked great but they again squandered away his momentum and now hes the guy who looses every week though a lot of that is because he makes other guys look really good. So there are two guys they squandered. Look at who they decide to push. Sheamus who has never been extremely over but they went with him hard and heavy in 2012 and it didn't click. They forced Del Rio for years when no one cared, though he was over a face in 2013 but other than that no one ever cared. They will never get behind Ambrose 100% because they have made up their minds about going with Reigns as the guy who the crowd is clearly more into Ambrose and even Rollins but Reigns is what they look for in a megastar so he is getting the slow megapush.

They don't need a brand split. They just need better storylines. Two shows worked with one roster before. And they didn't really do away with the split until, what 2011 or 2012. And I'd say, for the most part, the product is better now than it was then. Doing a new brand split doesn't do anything to fix the storyline issues they have.

I don't even really think 3 hour raws are that big of a deal. There are a lot more longer, high quality matches on Raw than when it was two hours.

I think you guys worry about wins and losses too much. Triple H was jobbed out like crazy in the mid 90s before DX. He's fine. Ziggler gets a great reaction, and has an innate ability to make the crowd believe he can win every time. That's why he jobs so well; because they can bring him right back. If they wanted to push him, he could be in the main event by Survivor Series. People were saying the same thing about him a couple years ago, and him winning the title last year got an amazing reaction. Cesaro will bounce back too. They're special talents.

My first thought was: they won't tape Smackdown on Monday, the crowd will be dead after Raw! Then I realized they'll just dub over the crowd with cheers where they want them like they already do.

Thats probably the best part of watching Smackdown. When you hear a big cheer, you look at the crowd and see if everyone is just sitting there looking around.

Hunter also happened to be buddies with Shawn who had a lot of pull back then. Hunter wasn't as jobbed out as bad as WWE makes it out to be. He was theoretically on the booking comity by late 1997 and pretty much gave them the idea to screw Bret at Survivor Series. Ziggler runs his mouth too much online so they have never really gotten behind him. Cesaro surprisingly has never gotten the big push despite being workout partners with Cena.

So what about the two years leading up to 97 when he was losing to Marc Mero? Or Warrior squash at WM12? Or Henry Godwin in a mud pit?

Well he was always going to put over Warrior and the squash was Warrior pretty much telling how stuff was going down. The Mero stuff happened when he was in the doghouse for the Curtian Call he won his first IC title from Mero in 1996 which was only 5 months after the MSG incident. The Godwin thing was just so they could have the Blueblood get slopped. HHH also won that Hogpen match against Godwin just for the record.

You don't need a title to be considered "in a push" in my eyes. Right now in my mind guys like Rollins,Reigns,Ambrose, and Ziggler are in push mode because they are in storylines that have substance right now. Wins and losses matter but not as much as some people make it out to be in my eyes. Cesaro's push will come though.
