That was class of him but brings up the next story of why didn't he say the same thing about having/winning the belt?

'Tis true. He also screwed the flow of the show. But unless he's retiring right this second, that feud needed something because they have to continue it. Of course in a perfect universe it wouldn't have to, but it is what it is.

Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread

It seems the rumor that CM Punk was stripped of his World Championship due to an altercation over the dress code is not the only story circulating the industry.

According to F4WOnline.com, another story that made rounds this weekend is that CM Punk caught heat with WWE officials for openly expressing the belief that he felt it was too soon for him to drop the World Championship.

While most believe the former--that Punk expressed "attitude" when Undertaker confronted him about not dressing like a champion on the European tour--both stories generally point to one thing: a negative reaction to an alleged attitude problem on CM Punk's part led to his being stripped of the title in the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view opener.

News on what supposedly led to CM Punk's title defeat has generated two contrasting reactions from the lockerroom. As Punk has a reputation for being a "heat magnet" with a contingent of the roster, some were pleased to see what they perceived to be his attitude catching up with him and resulting in a punishment. On the other hand, there was a sector that felt anything he might have done was too minor to warrant going against better judgment by putting the World title on a wrestler who is clearly not 100% and does not work most house shows.

          Both stories are BS.

Jim Ross is calling it as much.

His blog? I thought that was run by the WWE. He's not allowed to say anything negative.

He has 2 blogs. The one on WWE.com is obviously owned by WWE. The one on jrsbarbq.com is his, and he's pretty much allowed to say whatever he wants there.

                Booker's coming back. From Meltzer:

--There was a blow up last night at the TNA tapings when Booker T refused to do a job for Matt Morgan. According to a TNA source who confirmed the story, Booker's contract is about to expire and negotiations for a new deal aren't going well. We had been hearing for weeks that Booker has been telling people he's going back to WWE when his deal expires. As noted earlier this week, during a show in Zurich, Switzerland, after Scott Steiner got some fans throwing things into the ring, Booker and Sharmell left the ring and wouldn't wrestle in the main event. The reaction internally was something of a good riddance, that Sheik Bashir stepped up, and that it was a better match for it. My impression was Booker & Scott Steiner were losing the tag team titles at Bound for Glory either way. Booker did work on the show, which was part of the three-hour special airing in a week, but the match with Morgan never happened. People are saying Booker right now feels very similar to Christian at the end of his TNA contract, although Reso was said to have handled it more professionally. He expected TNA to be his island of tranquility after a bad WWE experience at the end of his run. Those in WWE had talked about him coming back over the summer, but it may be quicker than that.
He's come off like a grade A ******* the past two years and I gotta laugh that he's running back to WWE after this TNA run backfired on him. I also haven't enjoyed his work in years, BUT! if this deal includes him shutting up, putting young guys over (I don't read too much into him not losing to Morgan since he's going nowhere in the grand scheme of things) and something with his school then great. He'd still be an ******* who's over the hill, though.

EDIT: Oh yeah, Umaga's coming back, too. Canceled a shoot interview and Meltzer says that's the reason. Now that's someone I missed in the majors.

Umaga coming back would be nice. Always liked that guy and WWE could use another top-level guy.

Booker T? Meh, been there, done that.

I'd love for Booker to come back and win the world title as a face, like he should have back in 2003.

I love Umaga, but he wasn't much more than a jobber-to-the-stars since his feud with Cena, and I don't see him ever being much more sadly. His tilt-a-whirl side slam is my favorite move in wrestling though. Absolutely brutal.

I'm guessing Booker won't be returning to his King Booker character, which makes me sad. If he stays in the mid-card, I won't mind. But I hope he doesn't get another title push.

Bryan Alvarez on his podcast said that there were two more ex-WWE'ers trying to go back when their contracts are up. He said one of them had just signed a new a deal, but apparently he hasn't. He couldn't name names, but that one is obvious.

Matt Morgan. We'll see what happens with him. WWE is desperate, he's big, came through their system...not sure he has any friends, though.

What does he have to lose by trying again? A spot in TNA? HAHAHAHAHA!

Yeah, I heard the Whole booker T thing yeterday. I met the guy one time here in Houston. Came off as a Dick. He really thinks he is a geat wrestler. He can do some flashy moves but he is not the same guy he once was.His acting skills are pathetic. As for the rumored guys going to WWE....Matt Morgan, Booker T, and I hear rumblings that Samoa Joe's contract is up next year and could be looking to move...God I hope not

By that argument, Edge must be in and out of the doghouse every other month based on his title reigns.

The whole "Punk has heat" crap needs to end. He's held the World Heavyweight Championship(three times), ECW Championship, Tag Team Championship, and IC Championship...and in all likelihood, he'll be a four-time World Heavyweight Champ by the end of this year. This is a period where the WWE is using the title more as a prop more than ever before, hence the titles constantly jumping from one person to the next. They put the title on Taker hoping for a quick spike in ratings.

Cena's title reign was shorter than Punk's...he must have heat
