Apparently in an interview, CM Punk admitted that WWE brought him back sooner than what was originally planned...

    http://www.pwmania.com/artman/cm-pun...-away-from-wwe

CM Punk says he received some of the “most ridiculous offers from the most unbelievable sources” during his brief time away from WWE last month after the Money in the Bank pay-per-view.

During a radio interview with Mark Madden from last week, Punk acknowledged that he was brought back to television too soon and there were a “billion” scenarios that could have played out prior to his return. After acknowledging that WWE brought him back sooner than expected to give a jolt to business, Punk said:

“Now you’re getting into the numbers side of the business. Sure, I would have loved to drag it out. There’s a billion different scenarios you could have done. I could have went and worked indies. I had the most ridiculous offers from the most unbelievable sources. I’ll write a book some day and it’ll be a hell of a chapter.”

“It would have been fun to go do commentary for like Titan Fighting Championship, it would have been fun to maybe show up at a ROH show, or go bother Gabe at Evolve, do all kinds of fun stuff. The bottom line is we have a TV show and a pay-per-view to sell. Basically it’s the hottest thing and you just kind of ride it until the wheels fall off.”

Could it have been done in a more entertaining way? If everything is selling out and business is awesome, then yeah, maybe. Maybe.”

Punk pretty much echoed what I said about his quick return. Everyone was crapping on it, but business is business and with the thin roster and the need to sell the biggest PPV of the Summer, there wasn't really a choice.

Personally, I think they would have been better off acting like Punk's contract expired at Summerslam and having the MITB scenario go down there. Would have increased Summerslam buys more IMO, and would have allowed them to keep Punk away a little longer. Of course, then you lose the Chicago crowd dynamic.

Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread

PWInsider.com heard earlier today from a source that Tough Enough winner Andy Leavine, who is currently down in WWE developmental, has been suspended for a violation of the company's Wellness Policy. The violation is believed to be a test failure.

After hearing from our initial source this afternoon, we reached out to WWE's Spokesperson and as of this writing have not heard back. We reached out to WWE in June regarding Sin Cara's suspension and did not receive a firm confirm or deny back, but in the end his suspension was eventually publicly disclosed.

While we are still waiting to hear from WWE, I can confirm that the suspension story is making its way backstage at today's Raw taping in San Diego. Thus far, Leavine's suspension has not been announced. Earlier today, WWE announced the suspension of referee Mike Cioda.

Former TNA tag team, Generation ME, got a tryout before RAW.

I guess the WWE is looking for a bunch of Tag Teams to liven up the division.

Push them like the Hardy Boyz 2.0 and they could have a goldmine.

Watching Raw, I thought they could also use Borne and Kofi as a high flying tag team.

That interview was on Madden's show radio here in Pittsburgh. I missed the first few minutes, but what I heard was great. <strike>I'll see if I can dig up a transcript.</strike> Here's a link to the podcast of the segment.

Generation Me, or whatever they would be called, is a pretty good team. I'd love to see them against Kofi and Bourne. If they can just get or form new teams and not break them up all the time, they could have a really good tag division.

-Chris talked about the “Masterpiece Theatre” coming to YouTube and his appearance at Axxess. Chris said it’s expected to be a weekly YouTube series much alike Zack Ryders program except he has no limitations unlike Zack does (being under WWE contract and all).

-Chris was asked about attending SummerSlam, Chris admitted to buying a ticket but in the end decided not to go. Later on Chris was asked about his thoughts on Melina throwing a fit about being banned from backstage and Chris suggested it was a matter of timing. “Who would want to be fired on a Friday and show up on Monday?”

-Chris was asked if Randy Orton is really the jerk the IWC portrays him to be backstage. Chris said Randy is a good guy but there were times on the road with Randy that Randy had a short temper over very small, childish things.

Seth Rollins (formerly Tyler Black) in developmental when asked by a fan online about cutting his hair so he looks less like John Morrison wrote: “Hey stupid question asker, no. I had long hair first. I had a beard first. And I can outwork him any day of the week.” He later wrote on Twitter: “To clarify, @therealmorrison is an awesome dude and is great at what he does. I’m just very confident in myself and my abilities.”

Supposedly Michael Migilicutty went to Johnny Ace to ask for a name change. And supposedly Johnny Ace told him "When you start wrestling like a Hennig, We'll call you a Hennig."

If that's true, then Johnny Ace is my new favorite person.

                            "Argh my quad!"

The creative staff, feeling under a lot of pressure to put together two strong television shows this week, was changing much of the script for Raw on Monday leading up to the live event. The plan was for Triple H to return to the ring at the Survivor Series, but obviously, an audible was called after it was announced that CM Punk would face Kevin Nash at the Night of Champions PPV.

The word backstage last night was that Nash’s removal from the PPV was due to medical reasons, but we should know more on the situation shortly.

                              Bellas mad.
                              Want Sara Del Ray hired.
CM Punk finds enjoyment in this.

                              The Bella Twins took exception
to an article on the WWE website yesterday pushing the current storyline
with Natalya and Phoenix. WWE.com editor Katie Richmond had asked fans
whether they felt Natalya and Phoenix were the “saviors” of the Divas
division amid “pretty faces” such as the Bella’s and Kelly Kelly.
Responding via Twitter Nikki Bella wrote: “Um you want me to slap you
with all of my awards and championships I have won? I was a #1
athlete… Which other Diva was? Secondly, Brie and Kelly Kelly have
been the only entertainment that has happened to the Divas division and
have worked harder than anyone! Thirdly, I’ve seen two girls the past
few weeks try as hard as they can to be ‘models’ while us ‘models’ have
busted our butts.” She then pretty much buried every women in
developmental saying, “Oh and good luck with the up and coming Divas….
Sure you’ll make a lot of money with them…. Um actually NOT!” Brie
Bella wrote: “Wow, I just woke up to the craziness! The words spoken by
Katie are laughable, but I’m a women who will stand for what I believe
in so I know what I’ve given to the fans and that’s all what matters…
I mean if WWE cared about Divas why do we have such little time on TV?
Why were Divas such as Mickie James, Melina and Gail Kim released. Why
aren’t wrestlers like Sara Del Ray hired? All amazing! Kelly Kelly and
myself have worked to hard to have an unknown, untalented writer say the
things she did. Katie (whoever) suck it!” Former Diva Melina Perez,
who’s had her own Twitter controversies in recent months, chimed in
later as the voice of reason, and the irony of her comment is unreal.
She wrote: “You know I love you but everyone needs to seriously calm
down and think before tweeting. This is not worth it.” CM Punk then
wrote, “So wait. The Divas are mad about an in house article on WWE.com
that is potentially designed to garner them attention/TV time? Awesome.”

Alright. Now go read all of the other tweets by the Diva's that were offended. Notice how they call out names of previous Diva's and a Diva that has had rumors of being signed soon.
