There's also a decent chance that Swagger won't lose the spot at all. The WWE is getting publicity because of Swagger and Zeb, and they've continued cutting promos on the subject. It could end up being a pretty good angle. And I think it could be a pretty good match. Swaggie mails it in sometimes, but when he's on, he can have a great match, and I do believ this will be his first one on one Wrestlemania match (he was in Cole's corner, in the Jonny vs. Long match, and MITB)

I dunno, we'll see but it's highly unlikely. Daniel Bryan got fired for "choking" someone with a tie in a fake brawl. It'd be pretty awkward for Swagger to skate through to Wrestlemania unscathed after a DUI two weeks into the biggest push of his life.

I dunno, we'll see but it's highly unlikely. Daniel Bryan got fired for "choking" someone with a tie in a fake brawl. It'd be pretty awkward for Swagger to skate through to Wrestlemania unscathed after a DUI two weeks into the biggest push of his life.

Two completely separate situations. Daniel Bryan got fired, because the choking was shown on live TV and people complained so someone had to get the punishment.

Swagger's whole thing is only known to those who follow the things on the internet.

I think swagger is screwed because this is the exact same situation rvd gotten himself in and he had two wwe world titles, and also considering bruno accepted the nod for the hall in part to being impressed with the wellness policy, i dont think wwe wants to risk bruno backing out

I think mark henry as a replacement would not be a bad option either

Maybe that's exactly what the WWE needs. A committee of older guys to voice their opinion on things like this. If Swagger is buried/fired/etc... he wouldn't be the first person in the world to be fired from their job for such a thing. But he wouldn't be the first to keep their job either if he stays around. I like the idea of keeping the storyline up to Wrestlemania. The problem is, if he knows he's toast afterwards, what stops him from mailing it in and blowing one of their main events if they keep him on TV into April? Hell, for all we know, the storyline is to have Dolph cash in on Swagger ASAP and they still put the belt on him. I'm doubting that one.

I believe Vince at that point fired Bryan to acquiesce to sponsors and the fact that WWE is a publicly traded company. Not simply because it was on live TV. Sponsors and board members aren't people who follow things on the internet, they know what happened and if they have a problem with it, we'll see action accordingly.

Why? He works once a year and has some of the best matches at Wrestlemania the last 4 years.

Good to see him back and makes me wonder if he won't end up in some kind of tag team match at Wrestlemania. As much as i would like to see him and CM Punk work i wouldn't have an issue if he teams up with Sheamus at Wrestlemania and takes on the Shield.
