The NWO was the greatest stable in the history of wrestling, and nobody can convince me otherwise.

I completely stopped watching wrestling when WCW ended. The only reason
I got back into it was when I heard the nWo had come back to WWF/E. I never saw an episode of WWF until WCW was over. I stayed loyal to it, and what a great decision I made.

So did mine! We all ended up getting in trouble for it because we kept jumping members of the other group. Ahh...good times.

Wow this was really that common? My middle school had 3 wrestling gangs.

So funny you guys bring it up, because it was like that for me too growing up. People who followed nWo always threw up the nWo signs and the wwf followers always did the DX signs.

The best memory i had with that was when i was part of a youth basketball league and everyone at our age was into wcw or wwf. Our jersey's were red and black and our intro music was the wolfpack song and we had opponents who came in with the DX song.

I've got every WCW Nitro and PPV from the Hogan turn at Bash at the Beach until they went under, except for the one Shane McMahon showed up on, I recorded over it the next day and lost interest in wrestling until TNA came along. I tuned in from time to time through the whole lousy invasion stuff, but it wasn't the same, as you knew WCW would be buried in it, besides it wasn't really WCW that was invading, just more of the mid-card guys. No Sting, etc...I relive the videos from time to time. WCW was my #1 favorite promotion as well, I enjoyed it, went to so many events, the night Sting won his first title over Flair, the night Benoit/Sullivan brawled in the bathroom, Nash/Hall powerbombed Bischoff through the stage, Hogan/Sting Starrcade 97, Starrcade 98, Starcade 99, Great American Bash when Sid Vicious returned, night Sting went Wolfpack, (which we could actually see him from where we were sitting before he descended, pretty cool), Sting getting torched by Vampiro, just to name some. I miss those days going to the Baltimore Arena and MCI Center (now Verizon center), haven't been back to those buildings since.

I think they did it only once or twice. I know one time was with Jake Roberts and Sting.

Sting and Jake Roberts was the only Spin the Wheel, Make the Deal ever.

Loved the 4 Horsemen, but I was really too young to remember their glory days. The NWO on the other hand came when my interest in wrestling was at an all time high.

Hm I thought that GAB (I think) with Sting and Vader with the whole white castle of fear was also a spin the wheel, make the deal event. Oh well, it was a good concept because there were some interesting gimmick matches on the wheel but they rigged it for one of the most boring ones you could think of.

BTW I never watched much WCW when it was around but it was always a viable alternative to WWE. I mean, that promotion just had a different vibe to it and I liked the fact that they had an older audience for much of its existence. I do think that WCW upper management handcuffed the promotion at times with the insistence on "family friendly" programming without swear words or more adult themes when clearly the tide was turning.

By the time they started to get the message it was almost too late. Unfortunately, the guy they hired to change the WCW atmosphere was a one trick pony in Vince Russo.

Overall, I like watching the old JCP/WCW stuff more then the old WWE stuff when watching WWE 24/7 on Demand.

I missed WCW the second it went out of business. I always prefered it to RAW. Even at its worst.

The absence of WCW is a HUGE problem in wrestling today, IMO. WCW helped expand the talent pool and gave young wrestlers face time.....so when they came over to the WWE, they already knew how to perform. You didn't see the painful experience of a brand trying to "force feed" a guy and watching him develop necessarily when you could get a young but relatively popular wrestler from the WCW.

The NWA is not the same because it's not as nearly as established as WCW was and the WCW crowds were tougher.
