Man this is crazy. Ive been following wrestling for 25 or 26 years since the old NWA days. I remember first seeing Chris Benoit on Channel 69 in Atlanta when Joe Pedicino and his wife Bonnie Blackstone had a wrestling show that ran from 8 pm to 3 am every Saturday night from the late 80's to early 90's.. I was in wrestling heaven. They used to have an hour of Japan wrestling in there somewhere. Thats where I saw Chris Benoit as the Wild Pegasus against Jushin Liger. He instantly became my favorite wrestler after that match.

Man this is hard to believe.

Somehow I managed to miss all the news reports of this, and actually forgot that Raw was coming on here at 7 in WI. I found out when I saw candyman's avatar and my jaw hit the floor.

2 other kids, they were in Canada at the time, and still are from the reports I've read.

I know I haven't been active here for a number of months, but I just wanted to step in and say just how incredibly shocking all this is. I loved Chris, and even though I don't ever see myself spending any great length of time watching wrestling again, will certainly miss his presence. This sucks.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ga. (AP) -- Authorities said professional wrestler Chris Benoit, his wife and child were found slain Monday at their Fayette County home.

Lieutenant Tommy Pope of the Fayette County Sheriff's Department said the three were found about 2:30 p.m., but he would release no other details.

Pope said the deaths are being investigated as homicide, but the cause of death awaits autopsy results tomorrow.

He would not say how the bodies were discovered, or who found them.

The World Wrestling Entertainment said on its Website that the 40-year-old Benoit, his wife, Nancy, and his son Daniel were found dead but also had no other details.

The WWE said that instead of its programming Monday night on USA Network, it would air a three-hour tribute to Benoit.
