like I posted in the benoit thread...

Vince is opening the show tonight and will apologize for airing a benoit tribute last night. Also said he will defend the WWE against the steroids accusations.

I don't think he needs to apologize. He only thought with his heart and thought it was right at the time. The WWE never does anything right in the public/media eye. If he didn't air a tribute and non of this was the way it is, he would have been criticized for not doing a tribute show and went on with the programming. He just did what he thought was right. I think we all would have.

The WWE was stuck between a rock and a hard place. If they hadn't aired the tribute, the ENTIRE IWC would have been up in arms and it would have looked terrible.

Now, at least it looks like the E cared about one of its own. Honestly, I can't fault them for this.

I agree but I think they are doing this more for public relations because the media is already turning this into steroids caused the tragedy. I doubt anything actually happens on the show tonight.

I'm anxious to see what they do with the fans and any Benoit signs and stuff of that nature. I wonder if any Benoit stuff will all be banned from the arena and acknowledged at all by the cameras, etc....I remember going to an event in Hershey, PA once, and I sat right in front of the camera ringside and they made my buddies and I turn our NWO T-shirts inside out and checked all our signs for profanity and such.

From what i read wwe has already pulled all of benoit's stuff off shopzone, and im pretty sure you wont see any shirts or anything of benoit at the arena.
