Yeah........just like when Scott Steiner was injured 2 months ago and they kept on announcing Steiners vs. T3D all the way up to the match at the PPV. TNA does that to suck in those that still don't know someone is not on the card. Poor taste imo, smart marketing, but will piss people off.

This isn't the way to go about adding viewers. Everyone of my non-wrestling friends who are big sports fans are basically just ripping on Pacman for doing something so stupid. They're not interested in actually watching the crap. In fact, I think it's turning off some of their fans.
That is bad if they got a 1.0 rating as many sites are saying, that is down from last week and the week before leading into a PPV.

It was a stupid idea on both sides, but more stupid for TNA. Pacman is just looking to get paid during his time off.
Pacman and Wycheck............waste of dollars imo.

I remember seeing it before, but I can't recall, and that's a shame. I guess.

They need to be that alternative though, that is what got them to this point and for some reason they are going in a different direction, but I don't think that's all TNA's doing, SpikeTV has a lot of influence what is on their network. TNA goes 9-11 on Thursday nights on SpikeTV in October, they are currently 9-10 as of now.

Thanks for deleting your message, I've done the same. Just got a little heated when I saw that. It's been a bad day!!!
Are you the biggest TNA fan my friend? I think you might have a race here with another long time TNA fan. TNA has a long way to go before they realize what they are doing wrong...we hope.

Re: Breaking news. Pacman may not be at PPV!!

The Tennessee Titans are scheduled to meet with Jeff Jarrett tonight regarding the terms of some form of a compromise involving Adam "Pacman" Jones.

As of right now, the Titans are completely against Jones wrestling for TNA and it appears it will be very hard to get them to budge on that issue or anything else physical.

ESPN reported at the beginning of "SportsCenter" tonight that Jones is still planning on appearing at TNA's Hard Justice PPV on Sunday despite the restraining order against him.

Re: Breaking news. Pacman may not be at PPV!!

There are reports that the restraining order might be in PacMan's favor, for his own protection. I first heard this on Jim Rome today and here is a link from deadspin.com
When Pacman Jones makes his first television appearance in professional wrestling, George Petraski wonders if the tables will be turned on the Titans cornerback. Petraski and his friend Tom Urbanski have been pro wrestlers. They were also co-workers at a Las Vegas strip club on Feb. 19 when a melee was followed by gunfire that hit Urbanski and paralyzed him from the waist down.

Petraski said he wonders if TNA co-founder Jeff Jarrett "has something up his sleeve" for Jones. Petraski said he and Urbanski have worked with Jarrett in the past. "Maybe the joke might be on Pacman,'' Petraski said. "Because Jeff knew us and he knew Tom and maybe he is saying, 'Hey, this guy is a clown, let's get him in here and hurt him.' In the wrestling business it's called a 'shoot,' and that is when it is real, when they try and take you out. A lot of guys know Tom, and us guys in wrestling are like a clique. They might beat Pacman into submission."

Re: Breaking news. Pacman may not be at PPV!!

I belive Pac-Man received permission from the Titans originally because he claimed he wasn't going to wrestle. When it became clear he was going to wrestle, the Titans decided to protect their investment in him. Can't say I blame them.

Re: Breaking news. Pacman may not be at PPV!!

ESPN.com reported early Saturday morning that the Tennessee Titans and Adam "Pacman" Jones had reached an agreement to modify a temporary restraining order that prohibited Pacman working for TNA in any capacity.

Under the deal, Jones "would agree to avoid physical contact of any kind," reports ESPN. While the agreement allows Jones to have an out of ring involvement with TNA, it doesn't allow him to engage in anything that places him at risk for injury or personal harm.

The two sides will go before a judge Saturday morning to finalize the deal.

TNA still says as of Friday that Pacman will be at the Hard Justice PPV on Sunday.

Well, it looks like he'll be there. Wonder how they will use him now.

Maybe they'll repackage Ron Killings as a sort of prodege of Pac-Man, who will be the mentor and also Killings' manager. Who knows, I mean, they both look semi-alike and it wouldn't actually be the worst thing... Killings should definitely get another shot and it might work at putting him over as a heel.

Ron Killings? I thought he quit. Did TNA resign him? I don't read spoilers, so don't let to much out, please.

Rumors say he'll be at the PPV, that's all they've said, I'm pretty sure. (Killings, that is.)

That could work and that is what they could do if their smart. Make Pacman dress like a Godfather like pimp managing a repackaged "Gangsta" Ron Killings. Maybe it could work.

I was going with the assumption he's still there... I think it's real muddy who's there and who's not.

Please, indulge me on how you have an opinion about a product you haven't watched?
I didn't mean as a whole, I just meant talent wise, I've seen it in the past, just not anytime in the last year or so. But I'm familiar with guys like Daniels, Styles, Samoa Joe, and of course Christian Cage, Kurt Angle. I probably should've clarified more. I don't think TNA is a better promotion overall, I think they have stupid ideas and horrible gimmicks, but talent wise, I think they have the leg up on WWE. My apologies for the confusion.
