    Undoubtedly.

I prefer watching good storylines, as opposed to amazing wrestling. The style done in TNA/WWE/WCW isn't my type to watch long matches for. If we had another match like the HBK/Hart Ironman I would mark my brains out - but I'd rather watch puro for match quality.

Storylines are what wrestling is about. Let's not forget our roots as fans of something that started as a carnival sideshow.

Yeah, you need the storylines to drive the wrestling. Without it, it's just two guys fake fighting.

And that doesn't sell PPVs. Never has, never will (unless WWE goes under, but that's another topic...hmm). Just take a look at this board and all the extra people that came here when Vince's limo blew up. That's what draws people, not 60 minute mat classics.

Now I'm not saying you don't need good wrestling, because you do. The people drawn by the entertaining storys will only stick around so long. If the in ring stuff sucks, you're not gonna keep them. But actual wrestling doesn't draw like a compelling story. If it did, ROH would be in MSG and not across the street.

Heck, just look at history. Hogan/Andre, any Flair or Bruno program, Austin/Rock, Hogan/Orndoff, Taker/Kane, Foley/HHH, Bret/HBK....they were sold on drama before anything.

To answer the question of what's most important to the product, it's obviously the storylines.

It's the characters and storylines that sell millions. Khali and Batista aren't headlining PPV after PPV because of their wrestling skills lol. They're headlining because it's drama and people buy into it.

Personally, I'd rather watch a great wrestling match that has some sort of story behind it to make me care(even if it's nothing eloborate, just a basic title match). But my train of thought doesn't make millions either lol
