You forgot young bucks like Sting, Kevin Nash, Booker T, VKM, and Scott Steiner

But I agree, competition is good.

The best thing that could happen is if all the old WWE/TNA guys jump ship, then WWE/TNA gets much better in having to build their young talent. So this could be the greatest promotion ever.

You know, I have always thought that Sting fellow could have a future in this business. Who knows? Maybe he'll even become World Champ one day?

Hogan if you don't want your promotion being just as boring as you say the WWE is right now, its probably best if you stay as far away from the ring as possible.

Probably BS. But if it's true, do we really need another WWE rip-off?

Bischoff back in wrestling? I'll watch, although it sucks all of his ideas are owned by the E.

The NWO concept is owned by the E? That seems chalengeable IMO because Bisch stole that from I think NJPW (or one of the other Japanese feds)

Re: WCW Part 2? Bischoff and Hogan to launch new promotion

The plan with that touring promotion Hogan talked about was Bischoff would just control the money. WCW had a successful two year run, but Bischoff had no idea how to work things for the long term wrestling wise.

And yeah, the nWo idea came about from UWFi invading NJPW. Funny thing is though, that invasion was a lot more similair to the WWE one (hometeam wins every match).

Only a two year run eh? WCW was on top for at least 4 years starting in mid '94 to the end of '97. Unless I got my facts wrong then sorry.

BTW thanks for the info on the Japanese NWO storyline.

WCW returned a profit for the first time in 95, under Bischoff. He had about 4 successful years, 95, 96, 97, and 98.

I'm glad Bischoff was able to see how WWE was ran from the inside. Maybe, he won't make the same mistakes twice.

If Hogan is involved, forget it. He was one of the major reasons the last promotion Bischoff ran went under.

Two years, four years...point is Bischoff only got it half right and it didn't last long.

So we get a promotion with Bischoff running things and with Hogan as the World Champ? Is this 1995-98 again? I mean really

Honestly, I think if they get a good TV deal and some good talent (and get enough talent) they can compete and probably pass TNA pretty quickly. I doubt they'll be able to compete with the WWE within the next few years but if they do, I'll be a happy man to have something else to watch, TNA is just horrific nowadays.
