You know if they booked it correctly (and lets face it, they can't) that group (minus Lashley obviously) could work really well. It could give Shelton Benjamin and Elijah Burke the pushes they deserve and could be a great stepping stone to get the World Title Belt on MVP.

This would be my dream booking scenario for reviving this group and it would start next week with the King of the Ring (KOTR) tournament. It would include superstars from all 3 brands. MVP would win the tournament and during his coronation ceremony he would do the Black Power pose from the 1968 Summer Olympics just after he is crowned the champion.

The next night on ECW he would show up and be seen talking with Benjamin and Burke. Perhaps someone like Colin Delaney would wander by and they would just jump him. This would go on to Smackdown where he would be seen talking with Big Daddy V and Mark Henry with Burke and Benjamin in toe. Later that night they jump The Undertaker and MVP says as the new King of the Nation. From there they focus on getting Vicki Guerrero out of power and getting Teddy Long back as the GM of Smackdown to help further their agenda. This would take some time to buildup and as long as they are trying she can refuse to grant MVP a title shot.

As for getting the US Title off of MVP I think this could be done simply and put him way, way over as a heel. He could go on some diatribe about how black people have been held down for too long and that the idea of supporting the flag or racism is too much as he relinquishes the title by dumping it in the trash. (He could always do something and rename the belt The Nation's Championship, but they need to get it off of him and keep him looking strong, I suppose they could hold a tournament for the belt where someone like Burke or Benjamin could win it and then rename it themselves which could lead to a nice inter-click feud) From there he would expose his tattoo that he keeps covered and the Black Power angle would go on. Eventually they get their way and get Vicki out and Teddy Long back in who immediately grants MVP a title shot with the current champion (I'd presume The Undertaker).

Eventually MVP could sell out and join something akin to The Corporation and leave behind The Nation.

Wwe is in need of a stable, this would be awesome..

Maybe they could even pick up Haas near the end like the old nation did Owen haha

I have actually applied for a job as a writer for the WWE before, I got a nice letter saying after reviewing me resume that they couldn't offer me an interview at that time.

The other beautiful thing about my angle, this could very well lead to The Undertaker reforming his old stable as well as a way to combat The Nation.

What's the point of reliving history? It's not 1998.

Well that was 10 years ago now and it isn't like the new ideas the WWE is coming up with are all that great.

Wwe needs to understand that when they had their stables going ie.(Gang wars-SS) was the best time in wrestling.

And they need it to save Shelton's career.

I agree but a big problem of theirs is trying to have their top guy (Cena) come across as an Austin/Rock clone. The product would get a lot better if they let the guys do more unscripted promos and have more input into their characters. I don't think a new NOD or new Ministry would make it better. They redid DX and I thought it sucked.

Who here thinks Batista's or Randy Orton's career would've taken off if they weren't in Evolution? I remember before that they were two generic guys.

The thing is YOU think it sucked ...but the crowd went wild for it...the merchandise flew off the shelf. Alot of WWE fans love nostalgia and "comebacks".....As for unscripted promos....it would be cool to see more of that.

Scripted promos are crap...UNLESS it's scripted by the writer AND the wrestler. That's how they did it in everyone's favorite era, with all your favorite wrestlers. With how time is controlled, a writer is needed, but who knows the character better than the person playing it?

Brian Gerwitz writing somebody a script and handing it to the guy two hours before showtime is WWE's second biggest problem (first is how they run "development").

EDIT: btw, I don't care about about a bunch of stables running around myself. I could watch ROH and see it be done...poorly for the most part.
