Yes WWE fans love nostalgia but that's only short term. Hulk Hogan gets huge reactions but as he stays longer, he gets less of a reaction. WWE is not going to grow their fan base by having two old guys act like teenagers. They still are too dependent on guys that were their biggest stars 10 years ago.

even if it isn't a re-hash of NoD I still think a stable is one of the best ways to push a performer who hasn't reached their full potential. The idea posted would do that exactly. I'm all for it Shelton needs a push he is a really good wrestler and I think his talent is being wasted and Elijah Burke is up and coming and I think he has what it takes to be a big name in the WWE. MVP is on his way to the top as we speak so "riding his coattails" so to speak is a great opportunity for both of them. Pretty much EVERY stable is a re-hash of something previous one way or another. Only things that come differently are some individual gimmicks and more often than not they are re-hashed also.

Its rare to see a superstar push his way to the top alone. I can't even think of one off the top of my head that was NEVER in a stable/Tag Team.

Was John Cena ever in a stable or a real tag team (not that run with HBK)?

Could they do this in the PC world we have? They caught crap for having Cryme Time, and a new Nation of Domination smacks of "Throwing all the black guys on a team and having them be aggressive/mean"...Just not sure that'd fly now.

Has the WWE ever cared about being PC though?

I personally would have no problem with it...I just remember Hassan and know that the WWE isn't averse to fear of the public. I thought Hassan should stay too, so I'm all for it. I'm just not sure it'd fly as well now, sadly. People get offended way too easily IMO.
