Re: The release of The Rock's DVD.
I respectfully disagree. You still see Ric Flair in many of the top stars of today. The fans still pay homage to Flair with each chest slap. And IMO, Flair is in an elite class of "mic men" with Dusty Rhodes and Michael Hayes. The best I can say about Flair, is how good he could make others look. Hell, I think I could get in the ring w/ him and he would make me look like a credible wrestler. To be fair, I am 36 and grew up with the the Von Erichs and Flair. I will say this, The Rock is a much better wrestler than a movie star, and had he stayed with wrestling...who knows? -

Re: The release of The Rock's DVD.
I'm going to buy the dvd soon I hope. The one thing I have to say about ric flair vs. the rock comparision is even though I can't stand Flair he actually does love the business because he actually stayed in it till it was time for him to hang it up (long overdue but he did it). The rock got maybe 10 years out of the business in total and then quit and went to hollywood. He talks about having a passion for it in his autobiography but obviously not.Comment

I have no problems with Rock moving on to be an actor. His movies (for the most part) are entertaining and the guy's charisma always shines through. Yes, his passion for the wrestling business today has waned, but I don't see that as a bad thing -- just evolution.Currently Playing:

Re: The release of The Rock's DVD.
I think the Rock did have a passion for the business while he was in it. I don't get why so many wrestling fans are down on him for making the move to go into movies. Who says you have to stay in one line of work your entire life?

Thank you. I feel the same way. I am a die hard wrestling fan. Ive been watching since 1983 and he made a decision to so something he wanted to do. Why get upset cause the man wanted to do that.Comment

Re: The release of The Rock's DVD.
I'm just saying that Flair's passion was obviously bigger than the rock's. I don't blame the rock one bit but obviously Flair had a bigger love for the businnes but considering what Flair was like at the end of his career the rock should be thankful he's not going to end up like that.Comment
