So do you guys think they will set up Taker going for Triple H and the Title or have Triple H lose it first and have Taker beat that person.

What a show! The ECW Title match was the only blemish, and well...I wouldn't have wanted them to give it anymore time and take away from another match so that's fine.

I'm sad that it doesn't look like Edge will be on SD for awhile. He was the only reason I watched the last two months

Summer Slam was well worth the price, Cena-Batista was awesome along with that HIAC match. Bring on HHH-Taker and Batista-Punk.

I didn't see it, but it sounds like the Undertaker delivered once again. One of the best performers of all time, bar none.

What gets me,is for everything that Edge hit the Undertaker with(chairs, cameras, steel steps, you name it) and Taker was never busted open. That dude has a some tough skin.

Very surprised by that as well. Definitely thought we would see some blood from the Dead Man.

Gotta say that it was a good PPV. HIAC was awesome, what more is there to say? Great spots, but even more importantly, great overall pace to the match. People always gush over Taker/Foley because of the two crazy spots (and a lot of other good stuff) but always forget about all the dead time because they had to make sure Foley wasn't, well, dead. Very little to none of that this time around & it made for an epic match.

Cena/Batista was also high quality. We had a great atmosphere in Hooters for this one as there is this guy (I just call him Black-Cena) who wears Cena's exact gear, right down to the sweatbands in the appropriate places and does his schtick all night. He even used to bring the belt with him, but to his credit (I guess) he no longer does. Anyways, aside from him (and my wife who wasn't nearly as vocal) the place was decidedly pro-Dave and man did he take some flack during & especially towards the end of the match.

The title matches were about what I expected. I thought Punk/JBL was noticeably slow for most of the match, but it did pick up slightly at the end. Somewhat surprised that he retained. As for HHH/Khali, well, I'm glad that's over with. Wonder who they'll feed him next?

ECW title match? Were they short on time after the Michaels/Jericho segment, which by the way was another great exchange on their part. When are they going to finally culminate this? Big ups to the wife for taking one in the kisser...

Wasn't paying too much attention to the inter-gender tag match as I was busy wolfing down my boneless wings. Incidentally, the 911 sauce is not to be messed with. Let's just say I'm feeling it today... I will say that Santino's mugging after the win was superb as always.

And finally, I love that MVP got the nod over Hardy. I hope this means he's on his way up, even if he has to job to HHH as Jiggidy suggested early on in this thread. It looks as if Jeff will be relegated to the going after the US strap & Benjamin for now.

Again, good PPV despite not having the greatest of cards, which is much better than a great lineup that doesn't deliver. Glad I went, even if we spent almost as much as it would have cost to order it at home (35 to 40)...

Seriously, that was the first EVER HIAC match to feature no blood.Oh wait,Undertakers arm and Edge's back got scrapes. It's suppose to be one of the most violent matches in the WWE,which last nights was pretty violent. You would think though, with so much violence there would have been more blood involved.Just saying,I know it's all fixed(even the blood).

The "dead time" in 'Taker/Foley's HIAC match was awesome...because you knew that they weren't just doing the usual "wrestling spots." You knew that something special...something a little extra was going on. During that dead time..you knew you were watching history. The dead time helped make that match. There aren't many matches that will ever live up to that one...it was more than just a couple big spots...everything about it was absolutely perfect. Both men gave everything they had and more.

I really wasn't trying to criticize that match in any way. I was only using it as a contrast to last night's match. I understand your point about adding to the overall feel of the match since it was obvious that his injuries were legit and the guts & utter lack sanity it took to continue were apparent. And for the record, I said two crazy spots and a lot of other good stuff...

They're doing away with blade jobs for the time being. Don't know why, but there hasn't been any for a awhile.

Speaking of blade jobs, while watching the HHH-HBK 2 out of 3 falls match i seen HBK do the worse blade job ever. That thing was so obvious.

Perhaps they caught too much flack over Michaels/Jericho? Didn't see that PPV, but from the highlights it looked gruesome...
