Yeah, unfortunately being in the business causes me to be a 'smart mark' as well. I often find myself analyzing matches instead of enjoying them.

There are rumors floating about PPV's going back and forth from Smackdown to Raw month to month. This could be the best thing to happen to wrestling in years. Let's see if it happens.

The plan would be to have 8 PPV's split between RAW and Smackdown. Then the 4 BIG shows would be joint productions, Rumble, Mania, Summer Slam and Survivor Series. There are rumors that the June PPV will be the first ever RAW Brand (only) PPV. I think this is a HORRIBLE idea. For one, all it will be is another episode of RAW (which I can't stand anymore) without all the interview segments. I doubt they'll make much money as I'll have some troubles with ordering it. I mean, who wants to see the same 2 tag teams go at it, HHH hold everyone down for $30 when you can see it for free on Monday nights?

They're going to need something big to have the split PPVs be successful.

Also, Diesel wasn't the worst WWF Champion as far as bringing in the $$ is concerned. Remember Bob Backlunds run with the title in the 90s? Or Big Shows 1st run with it? Even most of HHH's reigns can be considered poor in the $$ department.

Mil, you hit the main problem, the lack of buildup in the feuds.
Sadly, becuase the style has changed so much, I don't think they can go back w/o people thinking it's "dragging."
The BEST way to do it would be go back to 6 PPVs a year, but you know they have no intention of doing it.

and reading the observer bascially for a little over ten years

i was always one of the few i knew of that read it from where i live (in florida a hotbed for wrestling for decades)

living down the street from madusa.....not too far from dory funks dojo.........have met many wrestlers

but i dont think thats the norm

anyways.......i still think it goes back to the basics

storylines , belts with meaning , building up young stars , and using the older wrestlers in the best way possible and not just to sooth there egos ,

i also think the wwe could use a dose of mike tenay.....

anyone who has gotten to hear some of his best work will agree with me
