Re: Hell in a Cell
WWE has officially killed HIAC. 3 of the most boring HIAC matches I have ever seen. At least DX/Legacy used the cage in the match a little. But no blood from HHH or HBK in a cage match. The other two were terrible. Barely used the cage except for throwing their backs into it. Another example of WWE aiming toward the younger audience like in the Hogan day. Don't mind it aiming towards kids but then why waste HIAC. PPV would have been better w/o HIAC.Comment

Re: Hell in a Cell
I don't get letting Undertaker win. They had Punk set up to be one of the best heel champs in a while and the title changes hands too much as it is. Also, logic says that Taker has to be out of the title picture within 2 months, because there's no way you can put a 40-something year-old man coming off of hip surgery in a TLC match and have it not suck horribly. So they're going to have to change it, probably right back to Punk, almost immediately.Comment

Re: Hell in a Cell
Like I said in an earlier post in the thread, I think the Cena-Orton match was going to get bloody. I turned on the replay around the time of the Cena-Orton match and watched closely for it and that was definitely a boxcutter razorblade that popped out of Cena's pocket when Orton did the neck/backbreaker move over his back. The ref almost immediately picked it up though and obviously never got it back to Cena.Comment

Re: Hell in a Cell
The PPV was average to good IMO.
The bright spots:
1. Jerishow vs. Rey/Batista....Seriously I am LOVING Jerishow....these two are starting to get over as faces even, you can feel it. I love the dynamic of Jericho doing all the talking only to run and hide behind Show during the matches. It's also hilarious when he tags in after Show destroys somebody. I want these two to have the tag belts all the way up to Mania, then lose to a team that really needs to get over.
2. HBK. Seriously, this guy is still the best in the company. He worked that entire main event by himself, and completely nailed it. He knows how to sell, and when to overdo it and when not to. He just goes out there and out-performs everyone else each and every card he is on. He needs a singles feud, or DX needs to feud with Jerishow. Props to Legacy as well, despite the ending they still got over strong IMO with this match. They are slowly building to something, even though it seems like live crowds are very reluctant to show any emotion towards them. They are working hard.
3. The crowd. Although they were dead in some spots, they made the Orton/Cena match.
4. Ziggler/Morrison just continuing the trend of quality Smackdown mid-card matches. I expected nothing less.
5. The view of Alicia Fox from behind.
The bad:
1. Orton's final "punt" on Cena. I don't know if he let up, or Cena took it wrong...but it was so anti climatic. It looked terrible, and those punts can look vicious if sold properly. Double no no to Michael Cole and King trying to talk around the replay by saying he was too tired to "get enough into it." Lame.
2. Punk/Taker. It was literally a WTF kinda deal. The match accomplished nothing, didn't put Taker over as a strong champion, didn't keep Punk's momentum going, didn't satisfy the build-up, didn't use the cell, didn't do anything. This Punk/Taker feud has been a real let-down, considering I was so excited for it. WHY was it first? Dumb move IMO.
3. No blood, no really "violent" tone to any match except for the beat down of HBK. I understand and get the "PG" stuff, but this is HIAC, you have to do something different and raise the bar.Comment

Re: Hell in a Cell
No blood? I came into this thread with the intention of asking how violent it was.
What were some of the major bumps? Did anyone go outside the cage?Comment

Re: Hell in a Cell
But they have set up the destruction of Legacy nicely. I bet you, Orten is gonna tell em; I told you so....and you cannot even beat a wounded HBK (in basically a 2 on 1 handicap match)PSN: beruchtejan

Re: Hell in a Cell
DX/Legacy started outside the cage. DX came out first and Legacy jumped them and locked HHH out. Wasn't really any major bumps. The one that looked the best was Cody getting hit off the appron into the cage wall.Comment

Re: Hell in a Cell
Finally caught this earlier tonight and I have to say I was disappointed for the most part.
1- Having CM Punk drop the belt to the Undertaker in a clean, ten minute match like that is absolutely terrible and kills any momentum that Punk had been building up for the last 4-5 months. Horrible, horrible booking.
2- Ziggler needs the belt already. Three losses in three chances at the IC title doesn't bode well for his future. It's too bad because he really does have the potential to be the next Curt Hennig. Whoever said that earlier was spot on.
3- Jerishow is awesome and need to keep winning against the top teams. Like I predicted a while back, I think they will hold the belts until Edge comes back as a face and teams up with someone (hopefully a recently promoted to Smackdown Christian) to get revenge on Jericho.
4- Divas matches are stupid and should be banned altogether or at the very least should be dark matches.
5- Kofi needed to lose the belt six months ago. This is getting ridiculous. Like Chavo/Hornswaggle ridiculous. They should let The Miz beat Kofi because he has the best mic skills of anybody on Raw and I want to see him get heat from the crowd every week.
6- Orton/Cena was much better than I thought it was going to be. I loved how the crowd was more behind Orton than Cena in this one. They should really let Cena turn heel because they could do so much more with him. Oh well.
7- Drew vs. Truth was pointless in the slot they put it in. He looks like he has some potential, but the feud with Truth seems rather pointless.
8- DX is tired and played out but Legacy has never really excited me that much, even for a heel lover like me.Comment

Don't know if you saw Raw last night, but Miz did beat Kofi for the belt on Raw.Comment
