yea, I just noticed that....I think that was in 06(the last SVR Ive owned) companies really need to stop removing stuff from these games man, they dont even have the dbl 10 count when both wrestlers are out cold anymore....You would think after 4 installments they will build on the new features instead of taking them out...

Re: Slider Thread
Alright with Jukeman's sliders with everything maxed I had no problem with 2 closely rated wrestlers using Cena to beat Orton it wasn't easy but I never thought I was in danger of losing. Took about 8 minutes. Did it a couple of times and then used a noticeably lower wrestler in Matt Hardy, rated at 87, to wrestle HBK, rated at 93. HBK won the 1st time but then I beat him twice in about 10-12 minutes but it was back and forth and I was never sure I was gonna win. Never got to use my finisher but at least I got the F flashing.
Best thing about these sliders is there easy to remember. Just move everything to the right except finisher foreign obj strength, move to the left. These aren't the reversals fests that I feared, thanx Jukeman. The only problem is after a few days I'm already playing at the maximum difficulty and beating higher rated wrestlers which is kinda quick considering I haven't played a wrestling game in several years. I don' think I'm that gifted a wrestling gamer. I think the AI is catered to kids who will try and do the same thing over and over. If you mix it up, the AI becomes very predictable. I haven't even played that many hours.
As someone said it doesn't really matter who I use, if you know what you're doing it's a sure formula for success, attributes have little influence. I had my Bulldog CAW from a download rated a 41 and I beat Goldust pretty easily who's rated a 75 I think.Comment

Re: Slider Thread
I'll have a few more more weeks of fun with this and then trade it in when MW2 hits stores. That will take up all my gaming time anyways.Comment

Re: Slider Thread
They need to add 2 more sliders... AI Learning (similar to NHL 10 where the AI "learns" your tendencies then adjusts accordingly) and AI Aggression (to make the CPU attack more then it does.) I believe with those two sliders, this game would be great.Comment

Re: Slider Thread
I don't know how effective this AI learning slider is. In NHL 10 I had it at 6(max) for 10 games and at 0 for 10 games on all star and I had almost the same results for goals scored and wins so I don't how effective it really is.Comment

Re: Slider Thread
I feel they need something. They can patch in a slider for aggressiveness. EA patched in about 3 sliders for the Fight Night game which helped it out a lot. The AI stands around too much when my guy is groggy. That's whey you would think they would attack.Comment

Re: Slider Thread
The AI is actually kind of smart..... Like the manager know when and when not to interfer and the AI actually use all ot their move sets(never seen them use a rope or apron move intentionally in the past versions)
only if the AI stop acting like jobbers and control the fight more, this game couldve been next level and maybe be miles better than No Mercy...Comment

Re: Slider Thread
I'm liking these except the stamina setting. With it all the way turned up it's too blatant. A couple of running moves, and your guy looks like he just ran a 5k.Comment

Re: Slider Thread
They really should have a damage slider so it enables us to have longer matches.Comment

Re: Slider Thread
I wish they attacked you like they do when you got a Finisher. Because right when you get special they just attack you and won't let you do anything. Its nice for a change, but to have to wait to get special to see the CPU do offense sucks.Comment

Re: Slider Thread
hey do you have stamina on?
Im enjoying these, they give me "WWE" style matches...Not that much of a reversal fest, its more "scripted" like......I dont see back to back to back arm locks and back flips like years past, infact I did a top rope cross body but my opp cought me instead! You really have to progress from stikes to strong grapples as the match drags on
Options
Diff- Any Turning off HUD, Rev Meter are other good ways to bump diff level)
Kick out system- Original

Re: Slider Thread
I have tried so many different variations of settings, but the matches are just far too short. the CPU AI is severely lacking and not nearly aggresive enough. As soon as I get momentum and hit a finisher even 3-4 minutes in, it's over.
The other features of the game are great, but this redundant and mediocre gameplay is making the game go stale fast for me.
I hope everyone else is still enjoying it, but I am getting bored quick as I can not have a long and challenging match.
I'm not saying that there should be tons of kickouts of finishers, but some drama and excitement in a match would be nice.Comment
