They're going into business for themselves every week. It's insufferable. They try desperately to make the show about themselves instead of the actual performers.

Exactly. It's hard to watch a match sometimes when the crowd decides they'd rather do stupid chants than watch the match. They make it harder for people who do want to watch the match to do so.

NXT crowds making it about themselves? Last time I checked,it's not like they're throwing out abunch of irrelevant chants like "Michael Cole! Michael Cole!", "JBL!JBL!JBL!", "you can't wrestle!", "WHAT?", "USA!USA!USA"(at so many non USA born heels, specifically ones with foreign accent)

Chants NXT crowds do, actually relate to superstars. How many chants that the NXT crowds do, don't have anything to do with superstars/divas on screen?

        I don't care what fans chant,as long as it's not stupid/irrelevant, it's fine.

You're literally talking about the same groups of people.

Chanting "NXT! NXT! NXT" is just as dumb now as people as it was when people chanted "ECW! ECW! ECW!" (thought now the ECW chant is more of a respect to the performers still left that hang around from those days.) I don't mean during the opening either. It's fine to chant NXT then.

Chanting "THIS IS WRESTLING!" when a match starts off with a collar and elbow like every other match is stupid. That entire crowd is like "hey guys look how cool we are."

They are insufferable. If you think they are a good crowd, I feel like you haven't watched NXT at all. They overreact and have legitimately become their own annoying gimmick.

          **** the NXT crowd.

The only time I agreed with what the NXT crowd did was the heat they gave Eva.

Or "THIS IS AWESOME" after entrances. Entrances.

I thought they've been fine the last two shows though. The difference between them actually reacting to what's going on and times when they're just chanting to entertain themselves is incredible.

Those aren't all that common, but I hate those too. The post-Wrestlemania crowd is terrible every year. They're into it, because they know their chants will make people laugh and they'll end up on the dirt sheets.

I'm okay with the chant at entrances sometimes, but it's rare. First time I saw Finn Balor come out in the makeup, I thought that was appropriate.

I guess this is all just a matter of opinion.

But, the crowd sitting on their hands does affect how emotionally invested I can get. If the crowd does not think it is awesome, it is hard for me at home to do the same this is like this for most of the matches on RAW at times thus why I fall asleep watching the product.

When I tune into NXT I am amped from the intro then the crowd chanting NXT i dont care who's entrance theme hits first it could be blue pants and I am ready to cheer my *** off on my couch because THIS IS WRESTLING.

I like the Japanese crowd as well. They seem more traditional in a sense. Boo the bad people cheer the good people no chants really just watch the spectacle in front of them.

I appreciate the two extremes but have no sympathy for the middle which is Raw crowds in cities not named philly, chicago or NY.

Agreed, it fits there. There are other times (one recently, I just can't remember which match) where they chanted it right as the entrances ended and it's like...I guess we don't even need the match?

Here's the thing - aside from me saying I'd take a dead crowd as opposed to the "HEEEEYYYY WE WANT SOME BAY-LAAAYYYY" crap from a few weeks ago - nobody has ever said they prefer a silent crowd.

                          Zayn going back to nxt.......

I hope its just some conditioning stint like we see in AAA baseball with MLB guys who came back from dl.

He should make main roster return at rumble and cost owens the match. Owens-Zayn at WM. They have the injury angle to work with to kick off the feud, and then throw in their history during the 2+ month build.

The fans don't care about history. If it didn't happen in WWE, it never happened. It's how WWE has conditioned them already.

They acknowledged their history during the nxt feud. At the very least, they could use that nxt history in the feud if they dont want to mention pre-nxt rivalry/friendships

I'm not saying they don't mention it.

I'm saying the majority of fans don't care about El Generico vs. Kevin Steen. They have no reason to care about Sami Zayn vs. Kevin Owens.

Taking a feud from NXT and putting it on RAW just doesn't work. You can show as many video packages as you want, but until it's happening on TV on Monday nights - it's a crapshoot if the fans will care or not.

The good thing is, it allows WWE to be pretty lazy if they wanted to and rehash the old storylines (with a twist here or there) because Generico/Steen was great. The bad thing is, they would never do that because it's actual wrestling and not sports entertainment.

It's like the Summer of Punk. That was pretty rehashed, but it seemed to work out well for them at the time.
