    Re: WWE NXT Thread

I didn't think they would do it but they did it! Dom will be the most hated NA Champion in NXT history!

The Bloodline era is over.... and the Rise of the Judgement Day is next. Priest has the MITB, Rhea has the Women's World Championship, Dom now has the NXT North American Title. Only one person left who doesn't have anything and that's Finn Balor. Balor beats Rollins and Judgement Day will be on top of the WWE.

I can't pinpoint what exactly they're doing differently to change my perception but these last few months are the first time in the decade of NXT as a third brand/developmental that they can have main roster people come in for matches and it doesn't feel out of place with the rest of the WWE.

      It's really cool.

If I checked correctly, Judgment Day is the 1st WWE stable with 4+ people to have every member win gold in NXT?

Gable Steveson has that Ricochet personality on the mic.

              I was right....kind of.

Now Shawn is going after Booker.

It looks so weird when they show the trending hashtag banner and it uses the new X logo instead of the bird. Just feels so out of place.

I guess that means Halloween Havoc will just be a TV special again?

But it's cool how NXT gets to use the old WWE/WCW names.

First time watching an NXT event since the one before Mania.

Couple of entertaining matches so far.

Now I guess Gable Steveson is the new Kurt Angle. Baron Corbin with a new entrance.

Steveson has such a high bar, its unfair to him, but you knew it's expected.

No superstar has gotten that kind of hype without stepping foot in a ring since Lesnar who was heavily recruited by WWE during the attitude era.

At least for someone like Lesnar, he got "hidden" in OVW for a bit. He was 24 when he made it on the main roster, Angle was around 30 when he debuted but also got time in developmental.

Stevesons still only 23 despite being signed for a few years and getting main roster attention since he was 21. People might expect him to just suddenly become some main star within a few months and be a world champ level guy by time he's 25, but even that shouldn't be the real expectations for him. Doesn't mean it won't happen, but someone who is only 23 in developmental surely has lots of time to learn the ropes.

I saw a clip from a Seth Rollins interview the other day where he said Dom Mysterio just has something special, and he's gonna be a BIG star.

He just pulled off a HELL of a frog splash. That was almost perfect form.

                        Another very entertaining match.

Dragunov got himself a new fan tonight.

Although he (along with some others) is now VERY out of date in the game.

Dragunov selling like crazy on that "first 48".

Didn't look like Melo was gonna connect fully, next thing you know Dragunov flips halfway across the ring in mid air!

He's a product of the PC, with zero outside experience. Which shows you what the PC actually does. Very little. He needs to learn how to work in front of people. Having that be his literal first ever match is a wild decision.

                                Trial by fire.

So many uber-talented legends (or talented folks) only worked the WWE style or presently at the PC.

Roman Reigns, Bianca Belair, Charlotte Flair ([emoji1785][emoji2961]), Kurt Angle (to start), Brock Lesnar, Randy Orton, John Cena, Batista, Kofi Kingston, Big E, Bobby Lashley (to start), Chad Gable, Montez Ford, Otis, etc, etc.

If he has "it" then he'll pick it up quick and get to the main roster. If not then they'll move on and look for the "next big thing" (probably already have him with Bron, Waller, or Austin Theory) elsewhere.
