Re: WWE: NXT Thread
LOL wrestlezone and reddit. Toronto was a wrestling hotbed, in the 80s. Montreal is the top wrestling city in Canada IMO.Mets/Giants/Knicks/Rangers/Manchester United/Notre Dame Football

Re: WWE: NXT Thread
In terms of reactions? The crowd sucks. And since you asked, I googled. I got a list from Kurt Angle, and no city in Canada is in the top 10. However, Tokyo and London are.badComment

Re: WWE: NXT Thread
I never said Toronto was the best, even in Canada, but they should be in the top 10. Montreal too. I'm probably forgetting some obvious ones, but NY,Chicago,St.Louis,Philly(who I'd put in the top 5 for sure, isn't even on Angles list),Boston,London are other ones I'd put in there.
And Toronto only in the 80s? They had WM twice(including hosting that iconic Rock-Hogan match), at one point having Monday Night Raw infront of over 40,000 people, consistently having sold out 16,000-17,000 crowds per TV event, and in general just having crowds who are into the show. They're not THE best, but in the top 10 for sure. And the fact that WWE is now having 3 network specials from Toronto in a single year, shows that they think highly of the city/crowds too.
Last Raw alone, just some moments I could find:

Toronto crowds in general are loud. Look at the Raptors, one of the big things they get priased for around the league by media and players is their loud/passionate fans. Similarly with the Jays(at least in past 13 months) too. Their WWE crowds aren't anywhere close to the Raptors or Jays level of great crowds, but it's still better than I've heard from over 90% of cities WWE goes to.Last edited by Majingir; 09-02-2016, 05:41 PM.Comment

I am on the 2nd round of the Dusty Classic. And my god are the NXT house show crowds 100000X better than the ones at Full Sail.Comment

Re: WWE: NXT Thread
Ya, even the audio seems "rawer"(in a good way) compared to the full on professional WWE type audio at full sail and stuff.
Don't know how/why it got started, but it's funny to hear the crowd during the introductions.
Announcer:"The following contest is scheduled for one fall"
Crowd:"ONE FALL!"

Re: WWE: NXT Thread
I really hate the "this is awesome" chants. I probably hate it more than what is reasonable, but someone can do a top rope superplex that has been in wrestling for as long as I can remember and they will start that chant.
I'm waiting for them to do it after a hip toss.
How about at the beginning of a PPV before any matches have even started?
