I'm partial to Adam Cole's interjection and commentary on that.

Triple H has confirmed NXT Takeover: Tampa Bay for Wrestlemania Weekend. They also revealed the logo for it which is an awesome design.

That might be one of coolest logos for any WWE event ever.

The WM logo last year was also one of my faves too.

Next week's NXT is a stacked card with two championships on the line. Finn Balor vs Adam Cole for the NXT Championship and Rhea Ripley vs Shayna Baszler for the Women's Championship. Surprised they aren't holding off on these until Takeover Portland.

NXT is now on the TV ratings > PPV train. If it means Takeovers mean less they don't care.

The women's match makes complete sense, you need to capitalize on the momentum from Survivor Series weekend by putting the title on Rhea. And based off Survivor Series I would imagine Shayna's off NXT sooner rather than later. If Ronda doesn't show (because of that gruesome finger injury) for Mania she's getting the Raw Women's title. If Ronda's around I could see her working with Charlotte. And I imagine we'll get a Dusty finish in the men's title match that leads to something in Portland.

And to having these matches on TV, I welcome it. It felt like ever since Finn/Bayley left 3 years ago NXT until the Ciampa/Gargano stuff late last year, TV was irrelevant. You could go from Takeover to Takeover and understand exactly what was going on. Doesn't feel that way at all now. Feels like you need to at least check the results and watch the promo vids on YT or whatever.

Good. After it obviously became the third brand, so much of NXT on the Network was just stretching out feuds to fill time because they didn't have a Takeover for three months.

I was expecting Lee vs Cole on TV and then Balor or Ciampa vs Cole at Takeover.

                    Re: WWE: NXT Thread

NXT announces Balor/Cole for NXT title will open the show commercial free. Which means Ripley/Baszler in the main event for the NXT Women's title.

Don't think AEW can counter that. NXT looks like the show to watch this week.

Exactly, complaining about seeing compelling matches on TV is silly. Especially, when NXT has an insanely deep roster and only does 4 or 5 TakeOvers a year.

Also, thank goodness. They've finally, finally taken the belt off the most boring NXT champion ever.

Maybe now we'll see them build up Belair, Storm, Shirai and whoever else properly instead of feeding them to a green, boring, devoid of charisma, knock-off Rhonda Rousey.

Shayna Baszler was, by far, the best heel women's champ nxt has seen.

That isn't saying much, Sasha & Charlotte were both better heel champions (IMO) than Boringler.

Can't wait she is on the main roster and her is lessened from this hybrid Lesnar/Rousey bs.

You realize when she leaves NXT she's going to Raw, which is run by Paul Heyman, right? The backer and personal booker of BOTH Brock Lesnar and Ronda Rousey.

She won't be the star of the division and pushed to the moon like in NXT. Also, her lack of charisma is going to be a problem on the main roster.

Also, Vince is the booker not Paul Heyman or Bruce Pritchard. He has the last word and could easily change his mind about giving Bazler a huge push.

He (Vince) had Shayna beat Bayley and the Face of the Company, Becky Lynch on her first ever "main roster" match. Safe to say she's going to be booked real well when she moves to Raw. Also I never said he was the final decision guy on Raw. But he is that guy for Brock and was very much hands on with everything pertaining to Ronda from like the Royal Rumble up to an through WM this year. But I can say after watching Raw for the last 4 months, and really since the draft, he's definitely getting a ton of leeway from Vince because Raw is really reminding me of 2002/03 SD. Mid and lower guys getting a chance to do their thing, ****ty love triangle that most people love while others hate, midcard titles mattering, small select group of guys in the WWE title picture.
