Re: WWE: NXT Thread
I mean Dox did the opposite of what most wrestlers with long hair do. Long haired wrestlers cut their hair off and go with short hair. Dox in this case over the course of the past 20 some years has just grown his hair out lol.
That still was great though, good flashbacks. Now let's give out another house lol.Comment

Re: WWE: NXT Thread
Regal coming out here like Mark Henry or Daniel Bryan.
Kross comes out to witness it himself and then...
Spoiler
SAMOA JOE, NXT GM!?
Joe says No
Instead, Regal stays on as GM (I'm guessing) but Samoa Joe is NXTs problem solver?
I've missed fans. Might have only been several people, but fans singing "hey hey hey, goodbye!" to Kross was great

Re: WWE: NXT Thread
Too early to call them losers especially with Roderick Strong as the leader, but again most wrestlers who debut just look like losers until the story develops.Comment

Re: WWE: NXT Thread
Guess we’ll see.
Maybe the Japanese guy ends up being cool (I know nothing about him), but nothing about Tyler Rust grabbed my attention in the two or three YouTube clips I’ve watched over the last few months. Admittedly that isn’t a big enough sample to make a final call.
And the next time Roderick Strong is interesting will be the first. Perfect example of a guy who’s just there. You can throw him out there to fill time with someone else and it’s fine, but he has never done anything to stand out.Comment

Re: WWE: NXT Thread
Wasn't expecting that with Diamond Mine. I really thought it was going to be a Raw Underground type of thing.
And surprised Strong is part of it. Thought he was the one behind that charging video.
I like Hit Row more than Diamond Mine. But Bivens being the one on the mic will be nice for them.
I hope next week when they talk about Diamond Mine, they mention the subtle hints at what led to the formation. Bivens was mentioning Tyler Rust was a "Diamond in the Rust", and Balor said to Strong that he's not a leader. Now suddenly there's a faction called Diamond Mind with Strong perhaps as the leader.Last edited by Majingir; 06-24-2021, 08:53 AM.Comment

Re: WWE: NXT Thread
The current NXT Champion, Karion Kross debuted on Main Event this week along with NXT North American Champion Bronson Reed. They say presentation is everything right? Kross without his NXT entrance (and no Scarlett who is getting her own tryout match separately) makes him 100% just another generic guy.

Re: WWE: NXT Thread
I don't get what's the point of debuting them on main event when they still have titles in NXT especially being so brand new as champs but whatever, WWE being WWE I guessComment

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8n3va7kl-qgWatched him some in Impact and now NXT and he really is just a generic dude.
Having said that - even for as incredibly dull as I think he is, they really didn’t do him any favors here by taking away the ambiance and Scarlett for this appearance. Gotta at least try and put people in a good light.Comment

Re: WWE: NXT Thread
That's the point though? That's what presentation is supposed to do for people. Just genericly coming out to the ring like any random wrestler isn't anything exciting. It's the "pomp and circumstance" and everything behind it which makes people better.
Even Stone Colds entrances didnt have that same feel when he had his 5 generic Invasion themes, or Kanes entrance without any sort of pyros.
Lighting, music, all of it goes a long way in the presentation of a superstar. At times it feels like an underrated part of wrestling.Comment
