They 100% had a hand in the decline of the wrestling industry. The current generation of wrestling fans were NEVER this bad before the introduction of social media sites like Twitter, wrestlers never had to worry about whether or not a fan who was bored out of their mind was going to dig up something from a decade ago and make it relevant again when it didnt need to be.

The 2022 AEW fanbase and the way they act is similar to the way the 2012 IMPACT fanbase acted, if you werent watching anything but IMPACT, you were a trash fan. You had people literally calling for your account to be reported because the opinion was different than theirs. It's a horrible time to be a wrestling fan right now, regardless of how many options we actually have.

    Anyway, speaking of NXT

I guess thats what happens when you release 90% of your talent and force the people who watched your show weekly to be introduced to characters that may or may not even make it out of developmental.

Might just be a rumor but WWE officials are upset with how NXT 2.0 is going. Seems they assumed fans would gravitate to the new stars quicker than they actually have.

Officials are said to be disappointed with the WWE NXT 2.0 brand in its first 4 months, according to a new report from @Wrestlevotes. It was noted that

It's hard to get people excited for a show where you have no idea what will become of the talent, but odds are that once they make it to the main roster, they'll be much worse off than before and then probably released.

NXT 2.0 is a good developmental show, if you treat it like you did NXT during its first few years.

But being on USA, being 2 hours, the ratings are things they'll care about, and that's not entirely fair for the developmental talent.

I just realized that the sleeping girl on NXT is Mei Ying, the former supernatural character with Xia Li.

Now talk about a major transformation in characters.

What's worse than being the "return from commercial already in the ring" entrance? Having the ring announcer introduce your tag team partner but not you.

A small addition I liked this week, the "sideline reporter" like stuff they did where McKenzie just gives an update on something happening backstage in the middle of a match. It felt like when you watch a sports game and in the middle of the game you'll hear whoever is on the field/court talk about a potential injury, or some developing story.

I wouldn't mind them doing that from time to time during shows. I like that more than just doing a shot of the commentary table after a match, or just throwing it backstage to that same reporter, where they will end up just saying that same thing anyways.

                Blade: I said I need a minute.

Sad they never gave Dolph a shot in the old NXT given how Dolph is basically used for now a days. Interesting they are sending main roster talent down to feud in NXT now opposed to before. They should have done that the second NXT became more than a developmental brand and talent on the main roster not doing anything could have been used down there like how Balor went back for a bit.

Interesting choice to run the NXT event on Saturday afternoon, hours before WM.

I wonder if the HOF would've been better in that slot instead. Almost like a "Legends Brunch" before WM.

Jensen: I know...let me try again. HI, I'M BROOKS JENSEN.
                        Briggs: WHY ARE YOU YELLING?

I haven't watched 2.0 (other than a recent PLE) in months, but decided to watch the condensed version on Hulu and they are finding their footing after the initial rough start.

Hayes, Waller & Breakker have definite star potential. And Trick Williams is great as the loudmouth, "muscle" that eats all the pins.

And they don't do the crazy spots, insane bumps and cursing that another company does, yet there is still a difference in the in - ring work between 2.0 & the main roster.

Only thing I still don't like is the colorful *** set and the fact the outside railing is too close to the ring.

                            Here's some interesting NXT news.

Samoa Joe said when he relinquished his title in September due to testing positive for covid.

WWE played it off as an injury, wrote him off TV, and released him a few months later.

I know Imperium are heels but Walter(not calling him Gunther) feuding with Sikoa makes me want to see The Usos vs Imperium. Would be a great way to bring Imperium to the main roster and have Walter feud with Roman over the WWE or Universal Championship.
