    Re: WWE NXT Thread

Here's a real random fact from last night.

Karmen Petrovic wore special Raptors inspired gear for Heatwave since its in Toronto and she's from there. That was the part I knew already. The surprising part, she's going out with former Raptor Bruno "2 years away from being 2 years away" Caboclo.

Without Punk being at ringside, Drew can walk away as champion that night. He would have been World Champion heading into Scotland, left Scotland with the title and he likely wouldn't have needed the briefcase to begin with!

If Drew wants to be mad at anyone, it should be Jack Perry. Which brings me back to the butterfly effect. Insane how that incident led to the current timeline of events we are on.

She definitely has a ways to go but “being hot” part of it is the simple character thing that would be easy to latch onto on the main roster because she already plays into it well. If she keeps progressing in-ring and they keep NXT Underground as a signature match for her I think they might have something.

Hot take: she should’ve won tonight too. This Roxanne reign is stale as hell.
She can fight too, but even the "MMA fighter" gimmick isn't one that really works either in WWE. Look at Sonya when she first came up and that's all she was and it wasn't as good as the character she'd eventually have. Even Shayna on the main roster at least hasn't improved or done anything despite being the MMA fighter too.

And it doesn't help Lola's case when she literally said "I'm a latina!" Like 3 or 4 diff times during her match last night.

MSK/Rascalz are reunited as part of NXTNA?!

NQCC actually taking care of business this time around. And Wren Sinclair just awkwardly being a witness to the "crime"?

Joe Hendry is back in NXT!

I hope this partnership does last and it doesn't go the way of the "TNAEW" deal where it was so one sided for AEW and they basically just used the deal to use the TNA talent themselves and basically stole some people too (Callis I think was the main one who "defected").

But seeing the Rascalz not only show up but being acknowledged as the Rascalz was cool too. As good as Wes has been doing the NA title stuff, it's felt like so much of the same stuff for him since he had to go solo. He's either the fighting champ, the underdog fans get behind, or he's cutting a sappy promo in the ring about overcoming the odds or doubting himself. He definitely gets helped more in a tag team though.

Wouldn't mind MSK getting the tag titles and going to TNA.

But it still feels so weird hearing them even mention TNA on the show or in Hendrys case they used the TNA logo for his nameplate. Is that the first time they used another company's logo on WWETV since the Vince/Shane split screen stuff? I know they've mentioned/shown Evolve and other stuff, but not on a main tv show in this capacity.

Jordynne Grace at the Rumble, right? I think Mickie James when she was Knockouts Champ as well.

Definitely only TNA to my knowledge.

Did they show the TNA logo though as an actual graphic?

Nope! I thought they did, lol.

Hmmm, now this is a great trivia question!

I don’t remember WWE using another company’s logo like that before last night, but they actually used it for Wentz & Miguel’s nameplate before Hendry.

Didn't even notice it for that one. Guess I was too surprised as seeing them showing up, and paid more attention to the fact that they didn't use his NXT name (similar to when Spears returned).

I loved how Booker T is just like "What the hell is wrong with these people" lol. Then they get to the part of the song where you wave your hands from side to side, and Booker gets more confused lol.

Booker being confused and unhinged at times while Vic is trying to be the straight man while also being the voice of reason makes for a fun duo.

Halloween Havoc as an actual weekend event and right before Halloween will be nice. Interesting that NXT PLEs are Sundays even when there's no main roster show the Saturday.
