    Re: WWE NXT Thread

The Gauntlet eliminator is another cool concept.

It's basically the elimination chamber without the chamber, but that's still cool.

Two superstars start, every 90 seconds a new person enters, but the entire time anyone in the match can be eliminated.

Dempsey: I will make the NXT Heritage Cup the most prestigious in all of NXT.

Wren: And he will fight anyone at any time no matter who it is.

    *Obas music hits*

    Wren: Charlie, I'm so sorry!

*Gallus challenges Jevon to show up at their bar"

    Evans: I can't guys, I'm only 20, that's illegal.

That was good, Ethan Page interupts Joe's concert but the crowd kept singing along when Ethan tried talking lol. Kudos to Ethan for still cutting the promo despite the crowd singing along, this was well done. Trick Williams as special Guest Ref? That should be interesting.

The entire WWE Universe believes in Joe Hendry at this point.... get him on RAW so he can sing his infamous song to Drew McIntyre again.

        Re: WWE NXT Thread

Tonight should be an interesting show. How many more TNA talent could we see show up?

Does Joe Hendry win the NXT title and take it to TNA (doing it a better way than when Omega did it)?

Do we see a debut and/or return after the women's title match?

Whoever loses the men's NA title match, do they go after the NXT title next or could they wind up on the main roster?

Surprised by the fact that this is the first (and ONLY) PLE/PPV in Denver since Vengeance 2003!? Wonder what's the reason for not going there often (unless Vince really just held a grudge over the double booking of Raw and 2009 NBA Playoffs)

Vic Joseph is so much better on commentary since being 'demoted' back to NXT.

Definitely leaning into the indy style with these first 2 matches, but they've both been fire.

Still feels so weird seeing TNA in here. Now the X Division title is on NXT. How long before the tag title and world title shows up...

That match was kind of a mess, but I still think both ladies have a lot of upside. Maybe they just lack chemistry?

Tony D'Angelo is a great character and persona, but dude is low key a really damn good wrestler.

Him and Carmelo Hayes were great gets from the indy circuit when everyone thought WWE was only going with inexperienced college graduates.

Oba Femi is special. He is a future WWE champion calling it now.

I've said that for months. He's 6'6 330, has the look, connection with the fans, isn't bland, his in ring ability isn't a weakness (he's no Seth Rollins, but he doesn't need to be), and he's only 26!

Between him and Trick, you have 2 future WWE world champs in NXT right now.

I think Oba could be on the level of a Gunther and he's 11 years younger.

If Oba is NXT champ before the end of the year and gets drafted to Raw or SD next draft, I don't think any of that would feel out of place.

NXT is just loaded with young talent.

People might poo poo this opinion, but breaking away from the indy - based 'Black and Gold Era' and going with young, untapped potential was smart.

And it's bearing fruit with all this top talent they have.

And I love all the 'injury selling' everyone is doing talent. Silly thing to praise yet it is modern wrestling where 'selling' is less important.[emoji1474][emoji1474]

Those two are gonna be competing for titles on the main roster for a long time. Mark my words.

It was real unpopular at first, but in hindsight it was needed.

The Indy black and gold era didn't really lead to anyone going to the main roster and having success, and then the pandemic almost killed their developmental system, so you have to rebuild the same way a sports team does when their farm system is depleted.

What people need to remember is to have patience, and in sports terms, just because a guy is hitting .350 in AAA doesn't mean he'll be an MLB star, similarly a guy with a 4.50 ERA could be a big league all star.

Was Karate Man aka Ethan Page underutilized in Impact!/TNA and AEW? Or is WWE jumping the gun pushing this guy so hard early on?

Man, I'm not sure if Joe Hendry's gimmick would ever work on the main roster of WWE. But damn it if I wouldn't love to see him there.

That main event was super quick. Thought they would go for another 10 to 15 minutes.

Yes, he was stuck in America's Top Team in AEW so he was never able to shine on his own. A missed opportunity for AEW in that regard.

I'm excited that Giulia is finally in NXT, wonder if Stephanie Vaquer will show up at NXT Halloween Havoc. Though with the NXT Women's roster being stacked, perhaps moving Stephanie straight to the main roster would be better.

I love the nicknames she has for them lol. Wonder what her nicknames would have been for Teddy Long, Eric Bischoff, Vickie Guerrero and other GMS from the past.
